Subject: Fic and Elton John

Anybody know if there was ever an FK song fic written with EJ's "The Last Song"
(I think that's the title -- you know, the chorus has something to do with
underestimating love "between a father and a son")? Something reminded me of
the song today and I seem to have a dim memory of seeing it used in a fic, but
I'm not sure....

You certainly think of Judy Freudental's "The Last Song"

: a 'heartbreaker' as in the local gals were eyeing
: his bodkin:

I think Nick could be either. I can see him as the love&leave type. I can see
him stringing people along and then leaving them when he got bored, or maybe
when he started to feel guilty, since he has such a talent for it :p

But then again, that talent could have come over his years with Lacroix as
opposed to when he was mortal. I think a lot of people would have been
attracted to the mortal Nick though, and I /can/ see him playing around with
more than one, or several in rapid succession ;)

: "God, but methinks *that* lad is gorgeous! T'would
: he wouldst looketh *my* way, darn it!"

<giggling madly> That is the funniest medieval impression I've heard in a
long time ;)

1. The tan? Bain de Soleil, of course!

2. Not bursting into flames? "Oh, I'm much too old and powerful for that."
(By this time, it's probably true.)

3. The lip ring? A whim in oh, about the 23rd or 24th century ECE (Earth
Christian Era). Of course, since vampire flesh regenerates itself so well,
he's been unable to take the blasted thing out!

4. The death-and-resurrection thingie? His way of assuaging the suspicions
of the locals; after all, you never know when a stray Enforcer might wander
by.

5. And finally...doesn't May remind you just a teensie bit of Divia?

Amen to that!

I have been watching Lexx on Sci-fi ever since I heard Nigel was on ...
and I must say Prince is a A LOT like LC. The long black coat, the
superior glare, and of course the obsession with a hot love slave. <g>

I have decided to go ahead and wrap up 'Pipe Dreams' and just do a
sequel. I had no idea this thing would turn into the novel it has
become. I think I may have broken Judy's record! >hugs to Judy!<
Anyway, the problem I'm having, is I don't have a title for the second
story and my Beta-Reader has to leave me, because he got a new job (Shana
doesn't want the job, 'cause she's not a Nick/Natpacker ::sticks tongue
out at sister::). So, I need suggestions for a title for the next story
and I need a volunteer (or two) Beta-Reader. That requires a lot of
patience, because I don't get as much time to write as I'd like.
Sometimes it is weeks between chapters.
Email me offlist with any suggestions, or if you'd like to volunteer.
Thanks so much for all of your support and love! Your feedback is what
motivates me to write (and to fight my husband for computer time to do
so!).
 Much love to all!

Well, he's a little less inclined to go on and on and on like LaCroix...but
then, he doesn't have a radio station to use!
