Well maybe not soo bitter (notice Tracy's Dad is strong and so she has to
find herself, Beka's dad, and all her males in her family are weak so she
kinda knows who she is) but strong (I am woman hear me roar and if you get
in my way I will grind you to the ground with my 5 in high heels).

Hey now! As the Dark Perk PR rep, I have to come screaming out of
lurkdom to Tracy's defense...
Yes, Beka Valentine is kewl, very kewl. But so was Tracy!!!

Tracy WASN'T perky. Since when do perky people say, pointing a gun at
someone's head, "Go ahead you, son of a b*tch. Give me a reason..."

Tracy was sarcastic. Remember her reaction to that exercist dude in SoB?

Tracy had evil evil wit. In MBiaV she said, "Oh, not dead, Mr. Upton,
just *soot* a little less of a man." At which point she made a motion
that implied castration. Castration!!!

She was courageous. In order to save the people in it's range, Tracy was
willing to drive a bomb into Lake Ontario!

Tracy kicked butt! How many girls do you know can beat up a man with a
door?

Tracy was even a bit mysterious. I mean, think about it. Sure you knew
Tracy was the commissioner's daughter, and that she's a good cop. But
what about before then? Don't you think she adjusted to the idea of a
universe with vampires a little too easily? Yeah, she gave the impression
that the whole idea of vampires made her nervous. But did she ever once
hesitate to ask Vachon for help? Maybe in the wording on how to ask, but
never in the asking. To me, that seems as though, she may have
encountered the supernatural before....
And did you ever see Tracy eat once during the whole third season? All I
ever saw was her drinking coffee... Tracy NEVER ate! Why? I don't know.
But heck, that's mysterious.

Tracy was a great character. It's just that she came in at a very bad
time during the show. The writing wasn't very good. And many of the fans
refused to accept her because Schanke had been killed off. I think that
if the show had lasted a few more seasons, people would've realized that
she was actually very cool. She would've been accepted, instead of bashed
into the ground on a regular basis.

Hoohah!

I guess I wasn't clear enough in my last post. Not only was a html version of
Susan's post after the text version of it, it also came out in my mailer in
html (rather than in text with visible html code). And every post after that
that was text came out with a blank line between each line of text.

I thought that psu.edu just rendered a html post as a text post with
visible html code in it.

Doesn't it also depend on your e-mail client? I've received html posts with
code in them on both forkni-l & fkfic-l, that I don't think were meant to be
sent as HTML code.

Three cheers Tiff. Thanks for reminding everyone about "Tracy's" potential.
And your right. She had little chance to develope her character in the last
season. But she was handling it preety darn good.
I just wish the writers would give her more 'aire' time on Andromeda. I feel
she should be allowed to show what she really can do.

Much better than the wardrobe she had on FK.

You got to admit, Schanky had his doubts about Nick, curiosity at least...he
saw that there was something "weird" about him. I don't remember ever seeing
Tracy have this, even when she KNEW Vachon... and could at least guess what
was up. She seemed utterly surprised when she was shot and saw Nick. Just my
opinion.

Well, Schanke was much more experienced and also about twenty years older,
it's not necessarily intellect but just the experience he had over her. And I
think one of the reasons she didn't suspect Nick was because his character was
so much different from Vachon. You don't hear anyone talking about Vachon
angst very often ;)

True, he was more experienced and older, but still she was as close to Nick
as he was. And yeah Vachon..was rather...out there *L*.

Especially for knowing Vachon, my opinion was she should have seen it in
Nick. I hve had people tell me why THEY think she didint, but I just cant
wrap my brain around it.

I dont think she was the worst character, but I prefered Schanke. To me it
seemed they just threw her in as cheesecake to appease TPTB that dont think
a show can survive without one.

The actress did as well as she could with the limitations they gave her as
Tracy..and I appluade her for that.

Hi, this is McLisa from another address.

The reason those html tags show up on Forkni-l or
Fkfic-l is that the PSU listserv software can not
process html. Messages should never be sent to a list
with enriched text/stationer/html turned on. Listserv
can only handle plain text. When it gets a message
with html markings, it repeats the text twice, once
with the text alone and the second time with all the
html tags showing.

AOL 6.0 users have a special problem because the html
can't be turned off unless you're sending from their
web interface. Please be aware of this if you have
AOL.

McLisa again.

It's true that some mailers can take the second part
of a message sent out by listserv and use the tags to
display the message as intended by the poster.

However, this in not something all mailers can do. So,
posting in html on purpose isn't a good idea on a
list. Accidents do happen of course. Knowing Susan
Garrett as well and as long as we all have, I feel
sure it was an accident.

Btw, Susan, thank you very much for all the raffles
and hard work.

One of the reasons Tracy might not have figured Nick out was at the end
of BB. After the Inca flies off with the bomb, Nick was already there,
and Vachon 'whammies' Nick so he wouldn't remember. Later, (if I
remember correctly) Tracy tells Vachon that Nick didn't remember a
thing. From this, she believed Nick to be mortal.
