The last shot we see of Nick and Alyce he is mourning over her as if he
thought she were dead. However, in the last scene of DK part 2, when Nick
looks up at the skylight - I think he *does* know that it is Alyce up there,
because he seems to smile. I just need some cheese to back me up. <g>
Also, in the Perry dog episode (a mind is a terrible thing...) I believe
that he gave her his blood to complete her coming over and not that she
drank from Perry. But I have no proof so YMMV.

Funny you say this because when I fisrt saw this one when it was on TV, I
thought it was Nick who brought her across, too.<g>

Well, I'm really trying to get this fanfiction out the door, but there
remains one tiny problem. I need some translations done to put some English
into Latin. It shouldn't take long, I've only got three lines to do. I had
a friend that was going to do it (his name is Nick, can you believe it??)
but he's a bit busy right now and I'm not sure he'll be able to do it.

Hi!
I was wondering if there is a main place where all FK fans get together to
chat at? If so can someone send me the URL? I already know of the yahoo FK
Club Chats but I can never get them to work. They just bring me back to the
main page of the club with an error message in the address bar. I seem to
have everything set right too. Still, it always gives me that same thing.
That's why I was wondering if there was anywhere besides yahoo where FK fans
chat?

I don't know if there is a consensus view on this. My personal
opinion is that Alexandra had one and only one vampire master: LC.
LC brought her across. That makes LC her vampire father.

I think that if you watch DKII carefully, you'll see that when
LC is starting to bite Alyce and is interrupted by Nick coming
at him with a flaming stake that Alyce *already* has blood
dripping down her throat. She's already been bitten once, imo.
My theory is that LC bit Alyce while Nick was unconscious and
had started the second bite to bring her over when Nick came at
him with the flaming stake. So I think Alyce was brought over
by LC. Maybe since LC didn't bite her as much the second time it
just took a bit longer for her to come across. I don't believe
Nick would have brought her over, not after fighting so hard
*not* to bite her.

Who brought Alyce across and how? Interesting question! I'd always
assumed it was LC and that he'd done all the bringing across he was
going to do before Nick skewered him with a flaming stake. It seemed
to me that if it took twenty- some episodes for LC to feel up to
meddling in Nick's life once again that he wouldn't have felt up to
doing anything more "to add Alyce to their entourage." As to why
Nick didn't realize Alyce wasn't quite dead--well I never thought
much about that. Maybe she was still recovering and still very weak
so that she seemed dead and Nick was too upset to think of checking
for the far-less-
frequent vampire pulse. Also, his weakened condition as a result of
his near-starvation diet might account for his not noticing a vampire
link between himself and his new sister. According to this scenario,
Alyce might have been the result of LC not having time to "lick his
plate clean", rather than "family planning". Could that make the
family link less strong?

Subject: AWARDS: Nomination Period Extended to Monday

In order to allow for extra time for nominations, especially since more
stories eligible for nominations have just been added to www.fkfanfic.com,
the Nomination Period for the 1999 FK Fan Fiction Awards is being
extended until Monday, March 13, 2000 11:59pm.
Here is the revised tentative schedule for this year's Awards:
Nominations Close: Monday, March 13, 11:59pm EST
Nominations Announced: by Monday, March 20
Voting Opens: Wednesday, March 22
Voting Ends: Wednesday, April 5, 11:59pm EST
Results Announced: Sunday, April 9
All story nominations must be entered by the deadline to be counted
in the Nomination process. After the deadline, the nominations
will be tallied, authors and those submitting the nominations may
be contacted for more information, and the stories/poems/filks with
the most nominations will be tentatively approved for the first cut
of the final ballot.
At that time, the authors will be notified of the stories that have been
nominated and made the first cut. They will then have the option to
withdraw items from the Awards process, if they wish.
Once all nominated works have been approved by their authors,
the final nomination ballots for each category (NonAdult, Adult 1
and Adult 2) will be prepared and the results of the nominations
will be announced. Voting will then begin for all those with
Voter Ids.
NOTE: The Voting period has been extended to last for two weeks.
This is based on suggestions on previous Awards that more time is
needed to read all the nominated works.
