I LIKE that idea. One problem may be that radio stations tend to play only
Top 20 songs. And if you did get a station to play it, it would most likely
be late at night or early, early morning. In other words...the graveyard
shift. Hmm, that WOULD be appropriate.

Anyone out there who has experience in broadcasting? Do stations take
CDs/tapes given by listeners or is that against regulations or such thing?

The station I listen to has a lunch time or noon time request hour where you
fax in your requests and they'll play it. Doesn't have to be Top 20, only as
long as they have it. Maybe it could work??

Arghhhhh, this is getting frustrating. I already have the CD, but if stores
aren't selling them, how will people off-line ever know that there are FK

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to say that I received my blooper script today...Thanks Lisa
Prince!! I couldn't stop laughing. If anyone needs a pickmeup from LK -
this will do it. No doubt about it. I would have loved to see the actors
actually perform this skit.

Hey, here's an idea. Perhaps someone could set up a reading at one of the
cons and have people from the audience perform it.

I just had another thought...really dangerous thing to happen - especially
on-line. What if people voted for who they would like to see play these
roles from members of the FORKNI-L or FKFIC-L? Am I getting into dangerous
ground here? Ooh, I hope so! <mischievous grin>

Well then...

Roles available:

Nick Knight

Lucien Lacroix
Tracy Vetter
Captain Reese

Kangaroo (Dawkins)
Hampster (Nurse)
Uncle Wiggley
Paramedic #1
lab assistant
Lora Haynes (uhh, already taken??!!)

Ohmigod, I m potentially in the same faction as LaCroix... I can just see
him in the loft in that chair up on the second level looking down at the
Knighties conferring over war efforts. Periodically he asks Field Marshal
Perri if there s anything he can do - and all the Knighties cower in terror
on the floor at the sound of his voice...

Nah, just kidding! When the Knighties dogpile on Nick, LaCroix would be
first. Oh, sorry, that s the Unnamed in me talking! ;D

Forget I said any of this! (Tippi, stop laughing!)

>>And, in case anyone forgets, the Light Cousin FAQ is coming soon<<

Hmmm... reminds me that I do have a FAQ (just not in that format) for the
Dark Knighties - a list of Dark Knightie episodes or scenes and an
explanation of the subfaction s philosophy. E-mail me privately, all ye of
the Dark Knight tendencies, and I ll pass it along.

And while I m at it:

This is a note to the Dark Knighties out there on FORKNI-L! And I know
there s a bunch of you because I ve been collecting addresses from sigs for
months. If I could I d start a loop... but this isn t why I m writing.

Despite what we want for Nick, we *ARE* Knighties first, we love our boy with
the same fierce Knightly devotion and we will be his champions!

As the Originator of the Dark Knightie faction, I want to publically declare
that for War 7, I am aligned most thoroughly with the Knightie faction in
general and encourage *all* Dark Knighties to align themselves with the main
Knightie group! Please do so by e-mailing one or both of the Field Marshalls
(Perri Smith, Catherine Boone) at either perridox@i....... or
catheboo@c........

We are Nick fans first and foremost, no matter what we hope for Nick! And I
have a feeling that in this next war there may be a special need for us
Knighties of the Dark Persuasion. At least I hope so! Let s rally around
our favorite vampire, the Knight himself, and join the general group of
Knighties for the War!

While we re extolling Knightiehood, let me quote Perri s wonderful Knightie
Credo:

"He was a vampire cop, bent on atonement. We are his followers, sworn to
believe in:

Truth
Justice
The Canadian Way
The ends not justifying the means
Cool Caddies (regardless of color)
Shots of Ger without a shirt (well, the women, anyway)
Life, not Immortality (amend for Dark Knighties: (but immortality is good,
too))

We are The Knighties!"

Okay. I tried logging on to the site through Netscape and it worked. It

this year. If there aren't enough to fill the year, I don't know what

When you not only spend 6 (!) hours downloading like crazy at the local

The FTP site works perfectly--just took a trip there. If you're having
problems getting there through your webcrawler, try:

ftp://ftp.cac.psu.edu/pub/people/lms5/fkfiction/

Or go to my page (URL below) and click on the link.

Also, I suppose I should remind people that if you would like a pin for your
affiliation, they're free. You need only send a padded SASE and a note
stating your affiliation.

For those people who would like the entire set of pins, I'm asking that you
send a donation of at least $10.00 to Pediatric Aids, care of Lisa Prince.
The instructions are all on the Affiliation Pin web page (also linked to
that URL in the sig). And PLEASE remember to send a largish padded SASE if
you're requesting a SET of pins (I just spent twenty minutes trying to cram
nineteen pins into a VERY small envelope).

I don't know about ET type shows, but GWD, before he moved Stateside
used to be mentioned fairly often (once a month or so?) in the
newspaper gossip columns. ("Seen at....with..."). I've seen NB
mentioned once or twice. Can't recall if I've seen the others. When
Deb performed in The Winter's Tale, where was a good-sized writeup in
the local papers....ditto for Ger in Taming of the Shrew. Both articles
referred to FK fans.

Subject: Lisa, and the Light Cousin FAQ

Today, Wednesday, June 12, 1996, is the birthday of Cousin Lisa Prince,
Organizer of Charity Drives. I know we all wish her a thoroughly
wonderful day, and I'm sure we also all recognize a good opportunity to
coincidentally thank her for her PAF efforts when we see it. :-)
<round of applause, swelling from every corner of the list>

I, however, am compelled to do something more.
(You asked [begged, wheedled, played on my Knightie angst] for it, Lisa,
and here you go. Idalia, please turn on the tape, ok?)

Will everyone please join in? A 1, and a 2, and...
        Happy birthday to you;
        happy birthdaaaay to yoooouuu;
        haaappy biiiirthdaaaay, dear Liiiisaaaa;
        haaaaaappy birthdaaaaaay tooooooo yooooouuuuuu!

Now, the ObFK in honor of Lisa's birthday:
The Official Light Cousin FAQ is now available!

Email me (PRIVATELY) for a copy. Though Idalia and I did most of the
writing, it is the collective work of all the known Light Cousins, and
should stand as such. Any mistakes, on the other hand, are mine alone.
And be warned : It contains spoilers for "Ashes to Ashes."

Subject: Canadian stars

I'm from Quebec and would you beleive that FK never played on any local
stations, I had to get it from cbs and then fox..that tells a lot!!
No, unfortunatelly they are not well known stars, but we do appreciate
them.It is getting better with Canadian productions now getting
noticed, shows like DUE SOUTH, ADDERLY, NEON RIDER etc. do help.

There is only one ent. show like ET (which I still don't get here but via
someone in Toronto) and well, they mostly deal with US productions...like we
don't get enough news on those already.

But I think even tho they don't get such high salaries as US stars, actors
like Nigel,Ger and the rest of them get plenty of roles but sometimes they
are in obscure little movies that can still be entertaining and well made.
I would rather see a low budget movie with Ger etc. then say something with
Keanu Reeves(oops here comes the flames!!)

Hope that helps :)

Subject: Third Season/FK CD

Hello, my name is Betsy and I have been off the list since August. I would
lose internet access just when the third season was about to begin.
Needless to say, I missed all the discussion on the new eps. I discussed
them with my dad, long distance. We even sort of brought my mom across and
she rarely watches TV. I called my dad at 1:00 am (his time) to tell him
Janette was back. He's a Raven.
Is anyone interested in reopening dicussion of any of these eps? Are any of
them under spoiler protection? Which eps do you consider the best of the
third season? What did you think of the new characters?

I ordered the FK CD today (What a great Father's Day gift). The woman who
took my order said if you order three CDs you get a fourth one free. Thanks
for the 800 number.

Oh gawd I actually howled with laughter... Folger's crystals! Bwahaha!

I made my dad watch AMPH and AtA back to back tonight so these eps are very
fresh (brewed) in my memory...

Thanks for the giggle!
