10%, actually, and I've voted twice (oh, how I love middle names!). I'm
considering going back with at *least* two nicknames, parents' names (who've
never watched FK in their lives), etc, etc. I mean, I've heard of three or
four people on one e-mail address. Who's to say Susan and Ellen aren't
different people? heheheheh...

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. I'm still thinking about doing Monique and

I found this especially ironic in view of the fact that the real Lillie

As I posted before, I'm trying to put together an FK RPG (role
playing game). I've gotten seven other people on it so far, and the basics
are (somewhat) being formed (about 1% so far). Question on this, tho.

In Blind Faith, I got the feeling that there are more types of vamps
than Carouche and whatever NK, LC, Janette are (what kind are they anyway?).
Does anyone have any ideas? Especially about the kind we know and love but
have no idea as to name (besides Screed, of course). Please e-mail me at

As a group, I think you all need to decide whether it is more important to you
to have a representative from Forever Knight in People or your particular
character in People. If, for publicity's sake and to save the show, you wish
to have a representative, then I urge you all to vote--as a group--for one
person. Mass voting is very powerful. I would encourage you to vote for
either the Ravenette (sorry, forgot her name) or for Davies, as their chances
of winning are fairly good.
I think you all will find that independent voting for one's favorite character
is going to leave most, if not all, the characters at the bottom of the list.
Factions divide and weaken, unity strengthens. It might be more important to
be unified as a group in this case for the show, than factional.
Just a thought.

Great discussion of Forever Knight but there was one *I* appreciate that
wasn't in there (but I have no idea where I'd put it or if I'd want to bump
something else to put it in.) To wit: Examination of life and values. I love
the way it examines real life: such as Natalie's discussions on things like
boredom on the job, good things take time. I like the way she pushed Nick to
think about what he really wants (humanity vs redemption). I like the way
they examine "good vs evil", not in the sense of you have to be all one or
the other but how each of us has both within us and we can choose which we
will act on.

Catherine was there twice, because here name was spelt wrong by some

Subject: The Other Show -SPOILERS!

I usually lurk, but I thought I'd make a few observations on Kindred:

I tried to like this show, I really tried. There were three things that
bothered me however:

1) I couldn't figure out exactly what these vamps could and couldn't
do. What effected them, etc. They seemed to move around fairly easily in
the daylight(did anyone else think it took an execeptionally
*long* time for Alexandria to be affected considering the amount of light
she was exposed to??)

2) One of the things I like about FK is that the characters, especially
the vampires, seem *real*. The Vamps in the Kindred were too *glossy* for
me, too Hollywoodesque. <shrug> Did anyone else get this feeling?

3) There was a scene where Julian Luna and his brunette girlfriend are
walking out of a club(a club which she apparently owns, along with others
on the coast) I saw the sign behind them as they left and I could have
*sworn* it said 'The Haven.' Anybody else catch this, or was I
hallucinating??

Just my .02 worth! :)=

Well, the form I filled out allowed me to vote for 5 people, so I
voted for Ger, Nigel, Deb, Catherine and Ben. I didn't get the
impression that I only got to vote for *one* character. I may go back
on another account and vote for Greg however, because the mental
picture of Screed on the cover of People magazine is irresistable.

I would, however, recommend being careful with spelling. I saw Deb on
the list twice with Duchene and Duchune spelling. Now THAT will split
a vote and possibly cost a person a position.

Is anyone in Illionis willing to loan or copy second season for me? I will

Bravo to Christina's top ten reasons to Love Forever Knight.
She hit it right on! The humor, the acting, the romance, etc
is all great on FK.

She reminded me of what I thought was some of the best "acting"
for a single line in a episode. In A Night in Question,
Natalie says to Nick "You're...a...vampire." CD did perfectly!

No spoilers, no spoilers.........

Whatever *they* do to end this season, we are going to have a *LOT* of
depressed, downright angsty, crabby, sensitive, bitchy people on list. Why?
Because as things stand now the *Last Knight* is the last Knight. I am
*very* optimistic that we CAN bring back the Knight--and to that end it is
VERY important that we not let our depression, our angst, our anger bring us
down and/or set us picking on eachother. TPTB have seen to it that the next
few months are going to be VERY hard for us. But *focus* everyone, lets
support eachother, not pick on eachother, lets keep up the pressure and work
very, very hard on solidarity. To this end we can be wicked or perky, or
whatever--but we're going to have to work really hard to keep egos in
balance and remember that FK is VERY important to ALL of us--and that
factions are for FUN and none of us OWN any of the characters or
actors---and, all that stuff.

No, you're not crazy. Sony gets the insensitivity award for the year. I'm
sorry; maybe that constitutes a flame, but somebody should really clue these
people in.

Hey Gang!

I just had to rush back to my room and tell you all that GWD is #1 in the
People's Most Beautiful People Poll! And 20% of the agree! They even fixed
the typo errors in his name! Pretty cool huh? Now I wonder if the People
people will actually give it to him or choose the *#6th* ranked Keanu Reeves!
:-( Either way our very own GWD will get some sort of mention in People if
we keep up the good work! Everyone get out there and vote to keep Geraint on
top! :-) You have until April 19th...

The Lois & Clark and DS9 fans have pulled ahead! GWD is down to one percent.

This would also be true of every other group of fans on the net.
We have to all vote for one (or, at most, two) of our actors if any of
them are going to win a place on that list.
Ger, of course, is the star. Have to vote for him. Spell it right. :)

If you can't restrain yourself from the rest, I suggest that Deb has the
best chance of any of the rest of our cast; this is a beauty contest,
after all. The sheer magnetism Nigel gives LC would be hard to explain
to "People," and Cath's beauty is unique.

I'm going to send the poll address and a plea to put Ger in first place
to all of my non-FK friends with web access.

Does anyone know when the voting ENDS on this People Magazine poll?
If so, I'd like to suggest that people vote (of course) but avoid
posting a lot of interim voting results. This subject really isn't
that list-related, imo.

I'm in the process of writing final exam questions for a class I'm teaching.
I like giving open-ended essay questions which are broad enough to permit
my students to "show off" what they've learned. One technique I use is to
have the students comment on (and use information from the course to
suport their opinions about) a controversial statement.

Now, YKYBWTMFKW...You find yourself *really* wanting to phrase your essay
question as, "<Insert controversial statement here>. Agree? Disagree?
Discuss."

It will take a ballot with all five names the same. I know because I
just did it.

May I suggest that we all be careful to type Deborah Duchene in full?
There was a listing for Deb Duchene and the machine won't realize that
it's the same person.

I agree on concentrating on Ger and Deb.

Their first meeting is recalled in OtL, of which you really must see the
Canadian version. "Evil is a metaphysical condition." Oooooooohhh... :)
DK, the premiere, is about a year after that, if I remember correctly.

I'm a good little Knightie who wants Nick to reform, and when I'm not
actually watching a Janette episode, I'm a good little N&Ner who wants
him to walk off into the sunrise with Natalie someday...

Sony thinks they made a mistake, hmmmn?

Well, we're not surprised. And I think the folded cranes mobile will be
something of an awakening.

Just in case, maybe it's time for JAFROL (Just Another Friggin' Round of
Letters). Writing to Sony right now might be a very good idea.

In fact, writing to Sci-Fi couldn't hurt--just to let them know we're
looking forward to seeing FK on the small screen at a regular time. If
nothing, this will bring in even more viewers.

And speaking of more viewers--have you brought someone across recently?
Have you gotten them to write a letter to support the series (Sci-Fi or Sony
or a local station)? Don't forget that Anne Marie is in charge of the bring
someone across contest! making good numbers for the local stations during
May sweeps couldn't hurt us at all.

Who knows--"Last Knight" might not be the last word.
