On the good news side, the reason for this is that the CBC has recently made
a deal with a major US distributor to sell their shows abroad, and The
Border figured prominently in the list of shows mentioned. The CBC sees the
US writer's strike as a great opportunity to get their product onto US TV
screens.

Thanks for having this clarified for all of us outside of Canada.
At least now I know for sure that the problem isn't my slow antiquated PC.
Let's hope the series will be relased on DVD soon and/or sold to TV stations in
our own countries.
