According to the info I've managed to find on the web, the 'cross' on his
cloak is commonly referred to as a Crusader's cross. Apparently all Knights that
went to the Crusades wore a cross that looked like that.
As for Nick belonging to a particular order, according to my research, he
actually didn't have to belong to one, especially since he was in the 'service'
of a Lord (Lord DeLabarre<sp?>). Many nobleman's sons were placed in the service
of Lords who were in service to either the Pope or the King.
Thanks for all the wonderful answers!
