watches and in Germany we have a Lacroix line of gourmet food (pate, soup,
sauces)and ...this one always makes me laugh: beef stock.<

And don't forget the delicious wine we recently had: Chateau Lacroix

I'm just outside of Charleston, South Carolina. It's in our grocery
stores. It comes flavored. I remember Lemon and Lime and something
red... as well as just plain water.
If there is a problem acquiring bottles, I'll run by Bi-Lo and pick
up a 12 pack and send out bottles to anyone who wants them. I think
it's about $6.00 a 12-pack, but that may be wrong. I'll check
tomorrow on size of bottle and cost.

I bought some Outhouse Springs water (www.outhousesprings.com) just
because I thought the advertising was funny. So it might be fun to
have a bottle of Lacroix water on a shelf. I'm just trying to figure
out which flavor I want.

Subject: Crusader Conversion Day Fic Challenge!

Posted with Permission :)

In 1998, Erika Wilson issued a challenge: write a story commemorating
the anniversary of Lucien Lacroix's entrance into the world of the
vampire. The date of this occurrence, of course, is the day that
Vesuvius erupted---August 24, 79 AD.

How would Lacroix celebrate his Conversion Day? Do Nick and Janette
give him presents? Does he have a party? Or does he ignore it
completely? You decide---and write about it! We will post challenge
entries on the Crusader website: http://www.nancykam.com/crusader/ and once
again ask readers to vote for their favorite story.
send entrys to: nancykam@c.......

The winner of the vote will receive a copy of "Pompeii" by Robert
Harris---an exciting tale of the last three days before Vesuvius
exploded. This novel has got it all: intrigue, dirty politics,
romance, murder, and civil engineering!

The deadline for entries into the challenge is August 4. Voting will
take place until August 20, and the winner will be announced on August
24, the 1,924th anniversary of Lacroix's Conversion Day.

Subject: Fwd: Invitation to Shakespeare Theatre Event

Thought I would share this ... for anyone who is going
to be in D.C. this weekend for Cyrano, I received the
following e-mail from the Shakespeare theater today
regarding a discussion that will take place after the
matinee on Saturday. It seems that GWD will attend.
