I have the Witch's Tarot and i can tell you that the card Nick holds to his
forehead that looks like it's the sun, that card is the exact same as is in my
deck. The deck that McLisa mentions, i've never seen that one so i don't know
what it looks like.

< Canadian footage, which is also on the DVD, in which
Nick is sitting in his loft during the day. He's lying
around angsting and fiddling with a tarot deck.
Snippets were used again in other Canadian versions.>

Someone said he was flinging them into a hat, but I
remember him lying on the floor and placing them on
his forehead like he was practicing ESP and trying to
sense the next card.

Voicing one's opinion about a luxury item like a DVD set is not the same as
advocating violence or prejudice. Even if it were, there is no "line to
draw." In America, all speech is protected by the First Amendment of the
Constitution regardless whether a certain segment of the population agrees
with what is said or not.

Nevertheless, if you can show me _exactly and quantifiably_ where voicing my
opinion regarding a DVD set hurt someone directly, then I will apologize
directly to the injured party.

Hi all, with all the discussion about Nick's tarot deck I thought I'd come
out of lurkdom an add my 2 cents worth. I think I'm in a unique position as
I help out a friend with his pagan bookstore and we sell **alot** of tarot
decks.

The original conclustion that Nick's deck is the Witch's Tarot (created by
Ellen Cannon Reed) is correct. The pentagram on the reverse has always been
a part of the design. The reverse of the Rider -Waite deck changes almost
with every press run but I have never seen one with the pentacle on the
back.

The card featured so prominately is not the "Sun" card as stated. It is
"Judgment" in the reversed position from our vantage point. (Sorry, I don't
see any corrolation between the meaning and what's going on in the ep. I
think it was used because many probably would think its the Sun card.)
Reed's "Sun" card features a boy and a girl holding hands in front of a
stone wall with the sun in the upper left corner.

As for the question as to why Nick didn't react to the pentagram as a
religious symbol I give the answer I give any 'curious' person who steps
through the door of my friends shop. Until the items (be it a tarot deck, a
piece of jewlery, candles, etc) we sell are charged with an intent by the
new owners they are mearly bits of card board, wax, and metal.

As I said. Just my 2 cents

There is a nice review of the Forever Knight CD collection on the Sci-
Fi website

http://www.scifi.com/sfw/advance/08_sound.html

If you are a fan of the show and don't have the CDs, here is a chance
to get both CDs in a single package.

Actually, it seems that as Paula explained, the backs of R-W tarot cards vary.
Mine date from the late 1960s and have a wave pattern in light orange on the
back. Come to think of it they don't have the pentagram, so my memory would
have to be in error right there about Nick's Deck.
