Is the 'when you reply to someone' rule about only copying 4 lines of text
not in effect anymore? There's been a lot of that going on and no wrist
slapping, so i'm just wondering if i should continue to edit e-mails before i
send them.

I checked out that site that someone said sold FK fangs, but i didn't see how
to order?? The site does say though that it's being renovated.

Was it Midianonline? I can get contact info if that is where you were looking.

Yes, there has been a lot of quoting more than 4 lines on Forkni-l lately. The
wrist slapping has been going on offlist, both by me and Don.

Now that the subject's come up, please remember that Forkni-l has a limit on
the number of lines you can quote from a previous post. It's _four_ lines, and
that includes the previous person's sig, and any headers you may have received.
If you need more lines, paraphrase. It's a good idea to check that your mailer
program hasn't attached the whole previous post .

This rule was established because a lot of us have limited time and resources.
So we don't quote any more of the post we're answering than we need to identify
it. We also try not to overburden the disk at PSU which stores posts for the
digests. This used to be more of a problem than it is now. When that disk gets
full, it has to be unjammed manually, which does not make us popular with the
sysop.

While I'm at it, please let me remind people to change to subject line once the
answers get away from the original idea. A good example is the migration of
Who's to blame (for the loss of Jaye's DVD set) to what would LC sell on Ebay>

And for everyone who does the edits for the rule, thanks!

I bet a vamp looking to get rid of past life stuff
could also go into the antique business...though
naturally there'd be the authentication problem again.
And they'd have to have a shop like the one on
Highlander that they could live in...and of course
you're got the window problem, though if there's a
curtain behind the display that might help, though
maybe not solve the problem. I also don't think that'd
leave much time for rest with going out at night...

I'm gonna be fighting plot bunnies for another
crossover now because this thread reminded me of a
Highlander ep that had an immortal ex-Roman general
running a Paris museum...and I've frequently wondered
if he and LC could've crossed paths.....

I was trying to find something to watch last night
before going to bed, and Discovery Science was airing
one of their programs on Pompeii again. The main focus
was the pyroclastic flow (superhot gases and ash) that
killed many of the people all at once.

Every time I see one of those shows I can't help
wondering how they'd react if they found out that a
survivor of Vesuvius was still alive...er...ok
un-alive...to talk to. Not that LC'd do it even if
there was no enforcer problem and he could....LOL.

I think there's one more airing today around 5 Eastern
if anyone wants to check it out.
