I came across a fun site--"Book-A-Minute" containing super-condensed versions of
many popular/classical books. I found one that applies to FK:

Subject: FK Moment

Hey-
I have been listening to the demo album for a new Broadway musical - "Dance
of the Vampires" starring Michael Crawford (aka the Phantom of the Opera) It
starts previews this week and opens November 21. The music and lyrics are
by Jim Steinman who wrote a lot of Meatloaf's songs. The play is based on
Roman Polaski's 1968 movie "Fearless Vampire Killers"
Anyhoo... there is a song called "Confessions of a Vampire" that makes me
think of Nick and his relationships with both Alyssa and Nat.
Here's a sample:
"She was such a beautiful and innocent child
She never knew my soul was cursed for good
I fought to overcome my thirst, I thought I could
But when I kissed her lips, then I had no control
And the furies all ran wild."
You can hear an mp3 of the song and see all the lyrics on my FK site (the
addy is in my sig) or you can check out the official site at
http://www.danceofthevampires.com

Subject: Vampire book

I was in Barnes and Noble the other day and I came across a book in the new
in paperback section - "The Science of Vampires" by Katherine Ramsland Phd.
It looks at vampires, their biology, how they feed, etc from a scientific
point of view, but also relates it all to the canon in folklore and
subsequent fiction and film. (FK is mentioned, albiet briefly, but it is
mentioned!)
I am about halfway through with it and it is extremely fascinating. She
goes into the way the DNA may be tranformed to display the vampiric traits
and whether is is a virus or other causes. Cool book!

I started to say "off" and then realized it wasn't wise to hand out an
opening like that. :) I will be away from the 16th of October through the
21st, inclusive. Requests for help, instructions to stop playing with fire
<g>, etc are in Don's bailwick during those dates.
