He's in 10 episodes, but mostly just for a scene or two. There are only
a couple of eps that i've seen so far where he has a significant role.
Ger plays Zin, the leader of the evil aliens.

I've given up. I'm just going to take my existing set and have them
dubbed to DVD before they wear out.

A small suggestion? Perhaps people who are getting nice clean cable
signals could tape FK for the people who don't when it finishes the
first run through and repeats? I'd offer, since my signal's good (and
actually better than the one I had during the first run through), but I
seem to miss taping half the eps for one reason or another.

Go to the GWDFC's web site!
We have screen caps and quicktime movies of all Ger's Tracker
appearances at www.gwdfc.org. Click on the Tracker link on the left
of the main page.
Ger was originally scheduled to appear in 8 episodes but upped it to
ten as a favor to Jon Feltheimer, now CEO of Lions Gate.
Some of the "appearances" have been just seconds but check out the
caps from the episode 13 "The Miracle". Ger's character Zin uses the
name "Mr. Raven" and at one point, tries to stake Paul's
character--with a crucifix!

Enjoy!

I've often wondered that myself.
"Excuse me, officer, my friend here has passed out. Must be all the
excitement. Would you mind? No, no, don't take out that needle, it will
help him recover more quickly."
"I'll just use my acupuncture needles to hit the secret _chi_ spot that
will increase my strength for exactly three minutes..."
"I know there's a forklift around here *somewhere*..."

Knight Vision is one thing, but selling for profit, especially in so public a
place as ebay, is really treading on the edge (not to mention violating ebay's
rules, apparently). If they even think that someone is dubbing sets of tapes and
then auctioning them off for profit they'll clamp down. And believe me, their
guns are very big and very scary (just ask Jean Graham, author of the charity
zine that got their attention -- and that zine was purely for charity!).

I'm afraid they'll look at our small fandom (and yes, it is small compared with
the Buffy and XFiles people, for example) and say "why bother?" They figure
it'll cost more in lawyer's billable hours to draw up the contracts than they'll
get back. I personally really, really want DVDs or at least VHS tapes, but I can
see where they're coming from. Sony thinks big, really big. FK is small to them.

On the other hand, if a dog like LEXX (sorry, my opinion!) comes out on DVD, why
not FK? That's just as much a cult show...I don't know. I just don't know.
(shakes head in despair)

Possible solutions:

1. Ancient Chinese secret? <g>

2. He's really a Shao-Lin priest who only looks frail---in reality he could
incapacitate Arnold Schwarzenegger with a single well-placed kick, and then
heave him out the window!

3. He stuffed Nick in the dumb-waiter in the corner and hoisted him upstairs.

4. He has 4 well-muscled nephews living in the basement.

5. There's another acupuncture spot that's the "Go" button.

Here's my 2 bits --

As someone who worked with (not for) Sony Corp of America for many, many
years -- I can tell a little about how they do business. Sony more so than
most believes in protecting what belongs to Sony -- regardless of size,
regardless of cost. I've seen them spend millions to keep someone from making
a few thousand on a property they own. If someone starts selling anything FK
that can be interpreted as an infringement on Sony's copyright, they're going
to come after them... they won't care how much or how little is being made,
and they'll spend whatever it takes to make them stop. If you're getting away
with selling anything owned by Sony, it's only because you're under their
radar.

Actually... this is no longer true. They're making it so that if you have a
DVD player that is all regions a lot of the DVD for the US/Canada won't play.
There are a bunch of reasons for this, and at this hour I can't remember
them. Counterfeiting, playing disc for regions they're not supposed to be
sold in are the ones that came to mind just now.

I was going to start the revision this morning, and then I groggily fed the
dog a bowl of catfood. (She happily accepted.) This makes it unlikely that
now would be a good time. More later.
