I'm not sure, but I thought I read something about being able to get FK
skins somewhere. Anybody know where it is I can find them?
Thanks!

Hi KC,
You can find FK skins on Cousin Raven's FK site.
www.naturesong.com/raven
She has skins, plus a bunch of other goodies!
Take care,

Ink is not "purged" from the body or rejected as other foreign bodies might
be... rather I would take this to mean perhaps her skin cells would
regenerate at a extremely fast rate, and replace the dyed ones. At least in
humans, that's why you have to protect tattoos from things like sunburn,
because it will cause the skin to die and be replaced, dulling the tattoo.

If you can feel it, it's a keloid scar... more pliant scars form with some
piercings and are more elastic. Keloids can be broken up and massaged and
fixed so that there isn't the bumpy feeling to it, so that it's a nice
smooth hole with relatively normal skin.
Since FK vampies don't get scars, that's why I think perhaps it would just
fuse to the metal. Or if it didn't, the only way I could imagine that they
could keep a piercing would be to either keep piercing it over and over, or
to somehow figure out how to aggravate the piercing so it would keep being
reopened.

Well, it was my impression that FK vamps had to give up their lifestyle once
brought across... effectively removing them from anyone who would notice
something like more hair, anyway. Because even if the external apperance
didn't change, you've still got the sudden change in appetite and strange
sun allergy to account for.
One thing we see in FK that doesn't heal post-vampireness is aging, which
includes things like hair loss, previously aquired wrinkles and what not.
Scars on the other hand aren't something to be healed... they are already
healed, just a different type of tissue. I don't think most vampire mythos
have scars healing, but I don't think it actually came up in FK.
Appearance doesn't seem to be of that great an importance when compared to
other changes, such as new strengths and weaknesses. In Blind Faith for
example, a change in appearance is hardly comparable to the seeming miracle
of being able to see and walk and function normally again. So having the
no-apperance-change adaption still wouldn't help them pass as new vamps
anyway.

Now, Kyer said that body armor would chafe a vampire's sensitive skin. Er,
Squirette, take
think about Nick's clothes in the medieval flashbacks. Heavy linen, rough
wools--oouch!
What about the chain-mail -- Look at it up close, even with something
underneath, that's gotta get really uncomfortable.

FORKNI-L RULES
1. No flames on list. FLAMERS MAY BE SET NOPOST. THE NOPOST

2. Please don't quote more than four lines of a previous post in replying.
If you have more than one point to answer, then you may quote the
relevant four lines for that point also.
3. Limit sigs to 6 lines. This includes all information, decoration
quotations and blank lines. Your name and address count as part of
the six. If you sign your name on a separate line above the body of text,
your name and the blank line or lines between count as part of the six
line limit. If you have one of those services that insists on putting an

control that and it doesn't count as part of your sig.
4. Please don't send to the whole list when you are only talking to the
person who wrote the post you are answering.
5. Advertising on list is on a case by case basis. Please consult the
listowners, Lisa McDavid, <mclisa@m.......> or Don Fasig,
<Argent@e.......> for permission.
6. This list is for the discussion of Forever Knight. Cast, crew, staff and
producers in connection with what they're doing now or have done in the
past are ok. Vampires in general are _NOT_ ok except in relation to
Forever Knight.
7. Off-topic posts are not allowed, no matter what they are about or how
urgent the warning may appear. If you have an off-topic post which you
think should appear on the list, ask one of the owners for permission.
8. The private lives of the cast are not a discussion topic. Occasionally
one of the fan club presidents will make an announcement, but other
than that, we leave the cast their privacy.
9. Con announcements must come from con officials or a designated
liaison and must be kept brief. Cons are only announced on list if there
is a connection to FK.
10. Only fan club presidents or other designated spokespeople may
make announcements of future projects for FK cast, crew and staff,
before said projects have been released or written about in the media.

Subject: Re: Skins?
I should have specified that I need skins for the RealPlayer... the most
recent version. I've seen a lot of awesome ones, but I don't think I
have any programs that they would work with.
If anybody knows where to find RP skins, could you let me know? I went
to RealPlayer.com and they don't have any FK ones.
Thanks, again!
