Nick as a Pisces makes perfect sense. LaCroix is an obvious Scorpio I
think? As a Scorpio myself I feel a natural attraction to him, and he sure
does like power; not to mention secrecy; and is frequently associated with
death. Also he's a sex god, which, speaking as a Scorpio, I approve of ...
but finally, aren't Scorpios often powerfully attracted to Pisces natives?
(I never have been, but that's what the books say ...) and he certainly
doesn't want to let Nick go.

Anyone for Janette as a Taurus? Always exquisitely dressed, love of luxury,
etc ...

Well, *that* cinched my disbelief in astrology. Kyer is supposedly a
'Taurus' person (she'd actually prefer a Hummer, though) and doesn't give a
wit for 'excquisite' or 'luxury'. (Cotton peasant wear and 'primitive'
household furnishings, anyone?)

But she wonders.. just outta curiosity.. about Screed. Doesn't the
*Chinese* version hav a Rat sign?

They do at that. I never have been able to figure out what western
astrological sign Screed would be. Not that I know that much about it. Maybe
he's a Virgo like me. Virgos are suppose to be clean and neat and organized.
BWAHAHAHAH. That's NOT me!!! Truthfully, Screed is rather a neat droog and
except for the rat pile in FEVER, his place is rather neat and tidy.

Granted I know next to nothing about astrology; however,
if I were to base their Zodiac sign on the data of their vampiric
birth dates...

LaCroix would be a Virgo 8/24/79ad
Jannette would be a Libra, Scorpio or Sagittarius... as the cannon scene
in which she was brought across in appeared to be mid to late fall.

KC, Unfortunately I don't have the last enstallments to make
suggestions. I do love the story and have been following it all along.
I would like Nick and Nat to have some more physically romantic moments.
I would like to see the boy start to call Nat mommy (I don't remember
that happening). My brain fails me right now. It seems numb as I'm
house bound most of the time with mother. Your fan fiction gets me
through some lonesome times. I have read a few peices on the Lady
Lacroix sight recently. I do enjoy your writing so much.

We had a nice Christmas and that was a comfort.

Well hope all is well. If you'd like me to look again send me a couple
the last chapters to refresh my brain and I'll see what I can think of.

Hugs,

Jeannie

Not that I am into astrology much, but I thought Tauruses were known for
being earthy and friendly, sensualist, with a strong tendency to be
stubborn and selfish (Portia pleads guilty to these! "g"). Anyone thinking
Schanke??

Interestingly enough, Chinese astrology counts *five* birth signs:
The birth year's native element (metal, water, wood, fire, earth)
The year of birth (rat, ox, tiger, hare, dragon, snake, horse, sheep,
monkey, rooster, dog, pig)
The month of birth (same animals as year of birth)
The hour of birth (same animals as year of birth)
The element and animal of the country of birth

If Screed "never felt right on land", it's possible that more than one of
his major signs had a water element: either born in a Water year, or a year
whose animal's main element was Water (Boar, Rat, Ox). Since he sailed the
ocean, I would put more stock in him being of a Yang Water sign than a Yin
Water sign... which would mean either Rat <eg>, or a Yang Water year.

If Screed and Vachon were palling around together for about 400-450 years
(?!), Screed would have been born some time between 1500 and 1580 C. E. The
Rat years around this period would be:

1492: Water Rat
1504: Wood Rat
1516: Fire Rat
1528: Earth Rat
1540: Metal Rat
1552: Water Rat
1564: Wood Rat
1576: Fire Rat
1586: Earth Rat

The Yang Water years would be:
1492 (Rat), 1502 (Dog), 1512 (Monkey), 1522 (Horse), 1532 (Dragon), 1542
(Tiger), 1552 (Rat), 1562 (Dog), 1572 (Monkey), 1582 (Horse)

Because of the natures of the Fire and Earth elements, I'd posit that a Rat
Screed who was not a Water Rat (1492, 1552) would probably be either a Wood
Rat (1504, 1564)) or a Metal Rat (1540)... leaning towards the Wood Rat,
since all ships of that time were wooden ships with plant-fiber sails, and
since Wood requires Water...

If a non-Rat sign, it could either be a sign that works well with the Rat
(Dragon, Monkey) or a sign that is diametrically opposed to the Rat
(Horse). Of these, the Monkey (1512, 1572) seems the more likely possibility...

POSTED WITH KIND PERMISSION FROM MCLISA

Greetings Gang!

Happy New Year and a great wish to everyone on the
lists (and FK!) As it’s that time of year again, we’d
like to take the opportunity to inform you all we’ve
redesigned the story links guide (for those who
remember the 1999 FKFanFic Master Sheet). It’s got a
new home, a new name, a new look. It’s ready (and
actually much more maintainable) *grin

FOREVER KNIGHT: INTO THE MILLENNIUM
        -Year-by-Year Author and Links Guide
             www.geocities.com/nexus_dragon/

All the information is readily available on the site,
but to summerize, it posts what’s been written each
year, by whom, and allows for the authors to have
links to their own work/sites. The problems regarding
formatting with last year’s Master Sheet have been
resolved, and instead of this once a year thing, this
time it’s continual. Which means we’re now at a point
where we’ll be updating the site all year long. Which
can be very advantageous…

Be sure to follow the format when submitting updates.

Also (*guilty grin)… I lost my url for the 1999
FKFanFic Master Sheet when I switched computers (the
old one went the way of the dodo). If anyone has the
url for the 1999 FKFanFic Master Sheet, please (big
puppy dog eyes), pretty please, send it back my way so
I can reincorporate it into the site. Thanks in
advance!

**Important note (before I get an earful): We’re not
the FKFanFic Awards Info Center. We love the guys who
do it (and the Committee who runs it), and we love to
promote the hell out of the Awards (and have fun with
them), but if you have any questions about the
upcoming 2000 FKFanFic Awards, address them to Nancy
Kaminski and/or the Awards Committee.

A note of clarification: there is no committee. It's just me, Nancy Kaminski,
administering the awards this year. Please address any concerns or questions to

Thanks, Steve, for a very useful website!
