Well . . . um . . . since I'm going into programming myself, I can say Nick
would get my attention :)

As for the programmrs at AOL, how could they resist looking into those
gorgeous blue eyes of Nick's & that wonderfully hypnotic voice?

"You will make better software, you will start working on it now . . ."

Come to think of it, I think Nick needs to pay a visit to Microsoft while he's
at it.

Hi Everyone:

How about having AOL, Microsoft (and Netscape--their 6.0 has bugs too!)
appear as in studio guests on the Nightcrawler's program???

Imagine how annoyed LC would get with them???? I wonder how fast that the
bugs would get worked out????

Thanks

There used to be a link that had a sound wave of Ger saying: Nicholas de
Brabant.
Now I can't find it! Anyone know where it resides?

Does any one know if a story called A Common Need was ever finished. I
missed the last chapters apparently. Does any one have it saved?

No, it hasn't been finished. The last chapter I saw was Part 32 posted

To the best of my knowledge A Common Need is not yet finished.

The last posted chapter was #33 from Sept 20, 2000

The Author is Christine Hantzopulos Hunt. The last time I checked a final
version had not been posted on her site.

Subject: Update on KC

First of all, I would like to thank all of you that have e-mailed with
good wishes and letters of concern for KC and her family. This has been
a very difficult year for all of us, but I think it has hit KC harder
than most of the rest of us.
Second, regarding requests for info about what the girls would like, or
what they need: The seven year old is into Barbie and accessories, or
anything 'little girlish'... she loves to play dress up, house, etc. She
needs jeans and thermal underwear, as well as sweatshirts and she wears a
size 7/8 (9/10 would also fit).
The ten year old loves Mary-Kate and Ashley. Videos (She has Passport to
Paris), books, etc. and especially the new Mary-Kate and Ashley 'Barbie'
dolls. She also wants the 'Harry Potter' books, a soccer ball and any
'Lisa Frank' stuff with the Siamese cats. She is also the tomboy and into
'Spy' stuff. As far as what she needs: Socks, women's size 6 wide shoes
and sweatshirts/long-sleeved t-shirts and thermal underwear size 14/16.
The fifteen year old wants makeup (light colors and frosts), anything
from 'Lisa Frank' and costume jewelry/hair accessories. She needs jeans
(misses/juniors size 9/10 or 11/12) and sweatshirts (large or extra
large) and thermal underwear women's large size.
Again, I want to stress that no one should feel obligated to buy or send
anything. My sister is sometimes too proud for her own good, so I know
that she would want to make sure I got this point across.
Third, KC is doing better. She is slowly coming around and each day she
reads your e-mail messages of encouragement and good wishes, she feels a
little better. She has good days and bad days, but so far she has not
attempted to take her life again.
This is not the first time that she has tried this, but I pray it will
be the last.
She lost her job five days before our thirtieth birthday, which was also
the same day they got approved for the house they live in now. She used
to say that she didn't plan to live to our thirtieth birthday and both
losing her job and turning thirty hit her hard. Also, she's been on
anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications for a number of years now.
They were helping, but I think the stress of the last few months has just
been too much for her.
I talked to KC and her husband about registering with 'Toys for Tots',
or a similar program and my nieces overheard us. They insist that there
are children that are in much more need than they are and said that they
didn't want to take away from a child that has nothing. They said that
they are very blessed to have as much as they have.
I was amazed at how unselfish and caring my nieces are. My sister and
brother-in-law have done an amazing job with these girls. The girls also
know that their grandparents in Southern California will send them a gift
or two.
I will be returning to my own home in a few days, to spend the holiday
with my boyfriend and his family. We grew up here in Reno and I still
hate the snow! KC says that she is just about ready to get back to her
usual schedule, though we are all insisting that she not push it. I will
let you know when my last day here is. I appreciate everything that all
of you have done. I am sorry there have been far too many e-mails for me
to answer every one privately, but as I said before, I am new to this. I
usually get six e-mails a week. KC's has had over a hundred per day!
Again, I thank you for all your prayers and good wishes. Best wishes to
all of you for a wonderful Holiday Season.
