Subject: Trick or Treat! Bringing Back the Knight!

Hello everyone!

There's LOTS of fun Kickstart the Knight stuff going on this month! Please
be sure to participate in all the events below to insure that this Halloween
we get what we want... The Return of Forever Knight!!

*Fangs for the Knight! A Halloween Project*

This Halloween, "Kickstart The Knight" will be doing something special to
Encourage *The Powers That Be* to provide us all with not only a return of
the reruns to the Schedule, but renew it as a series with the original cast,
and or return it as a series of made for TV movies, and merchandise.

We have purchased Vampire Fangs, in an assortment of neon colors.
From now through October 22nd, we are asking each and every Forever Knight
fan to please send an e-mail asking for the above. We in turn will print out
and attach your mail to a set of fangs, and send it to Tristar/Columbia and
the Sci-fi Channel in a special package.

Lets make sure that this Halloween is the one where we finally get what we
want!

So come-on and join in on the fun! Help the cause! Lets make sure we
let them all know that we want Nick and company to take another bite out of
crime!!!

Send all E-mails to : SField8067@a.......
(put "Fangs Project" into the subject line)

*Blitzing for the Knight! October*

This entire month we are focusing on the four powers that be, Tristar,
Sci-fi, TNT, and now CBS!

A lot of FK fans have wondered why we don't approach other networks about
possibly reviving the series. Well, we decided to include along with Sci-fi
and Tristar for this month a blitz to TNT along with CBS to test the
waters!!

E-mail: tnt@t.......
(and place in the subject line: "To The Attention Of The Vice-President of
Programming")

You also may call TNT's Viewer Comment and Question Line at (404) 885-4538,
however we ask that any phone calls be in addition to letters and e-mails.

For snail mail, send to:
Vice-President of Programming
TNT 1010 Techwood Drive, NW
Atlanta, GA 30318

CBS Mail Form: http://cbsnews.cbs.com/now/feedback/0,1611,412,00.html

For snail mail, send to:
Leslie Moonves
President,
CBS Entertainment
7800 Beverly Blvd.
Los Angeles,CA 90036

and...

CBS
51 West 52nd St.
New York, NY 10019

Its going to be a big dose of e-mails from each of you the fans that would
love to not only have FK back on Sci-fi's schedule, but want to make sure
everyone knows that we are want more FK with the original cast in new
episodes and or movies!! So, what do you say? Are you ready to sit down,
take that few minutes and send off three e-mails? It could make all the
difference in the world!

Remember, say a little or say a lot, but say it!! We can make more FK
happen!!!

For the "whole" month of September, we are asking everyone to blitz the
feedbacks!!! For the month, you can re-use the e-mails you did before, or
write new ones. They can be long, or as short as just saying, "Bring Back
Forever Knight."

Important info to add in your letters: Sunday July 16, at 9:00 pm, ET/8:00
pm CT, SciFi aired a monthly program focussing on sci-fi movies and tv shows
that have become "cult" favorites among fans. The program's called
"SCIography", During this current blitz, we could ask that an upcoming
"SCIography" ep feature FK! So far, they plan to do eps on "Battlestar
Galactica", "Quantum Leap" and "Sliders", so asking them if they plan to do
a "SCIography" ep about FK can't hurt.

Also, Sci-Fi will be airing "Sci-Fi World", which is a 6 hour block of
sci-fi programs with a different theme each day. It's also possible to ask
them if FK will be a part of the "Sci-Fi World" programming block! So, be
sure to include these new ideas in the summer blitzes!

ALSO REMEMBER!! Sci-fi will be changing its schedule around again in the
fall.... lets make sure that we get Forever Knight on!!!

Sci-Fi's E-mail: feedback@w.......

Sony/Tristar Mail Form: http://www.spe.sony.com/spe/help_feedback_index.html

When e-mailing TriStar,(especially) give as much personal info as you
can...rather than just an e-mail name. A bit more personal carries more
weight with TPTB.

*Phone Blitz*

In an effort to add to our Halloween *Fangs Project* and regualr e-mails
blitz we will be doing a phone blitz for October!!

We all want to be heard by TPTB dont we? Well, now is your chance!!

For this entire month, we are asking everyone that is able to, to pick up
the nearest phone and make a call to the programming department at Sci-Fi !

Say a little, say alot, but let them hear you say "We want more FK!"

(212)-408-9100-for Sci Fi

(212) -413-5000-programming dept.

(note these are New York #'s......)

Now we would like to have an idea of the amount of phone calls we can count
on being made.

So we at KtK are asking that whoever wants to participate in this,to please
contact Kristin at: kris1228@s.......

She will place your name on a very special list, and you will be sent
reminders/updates of the approching time to make that call :)

We sincerely hope that we are able to get hundreds if not more of you to do
this!!!

*Kickstart the Knight Auction*

The Kickstart The Knight group is preparing to launch its 6th internet
auction. The generosity of devoted fans has contributed to the KtK acquiring
quite an assortment of items for you to bid on.

Our goal is to place an ad in the Hollywood Reporter. The ad will cost us
$1,630.00 for a half page or $2, 695.00 for a full page (our goal). You will
determine which ad we can accomplish by your generous bidding. If you wish
to contribute without bidding or add more to your winning bid, we would
thankfully accept and appreciate your generosity. To assist those who don't
have the extra cash on hand, we are going to set up a web page where fans
can bid using their credit cards through Paypal.

Bids will be accepted beginning at noon EST on Sunday, October 1,
2000, through 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, October 8, 2000. Send your bids to
Knightwave@a....... Please be sure to include the item name and # you are
bidding on, how much you wish to bid, and
your e-mail address. The auction web page is located at
http://members.aol.com/ktkpage/auction.htm. Becky has worked
diligently to prepare the page with pictures of the items offered. Please
take this into account as the jpgs will slow the loading time of the
webpage.

We hope everyone will find something of interest in our gathering of
goodies. There are shirts, pics, scripts, autographed items, a one of a
kind 2001 calendar loaded with Ger pics, and even a prop or two from
the show just to name a few of the items. A complete listing is available on
the web page (http://members.aol.com/ktkpage/auction.htm)

Well those are the big events for October! And feel free to sing our victory
song this Halloween...

Trick or Treat!!
Give us something good to see!
We do care, so do it right!
Just by Bringing Back the Knight!!

Subject: Re: [Re: [FORKNI-L] Plausible LaCroixs, and Touching Priests]

I thought Nick was truly angry at Father Rochefort for not turning in the
killer -- after all, he expected the priest to want to do the morally right
thing - at least, the right thing in his opinion. Even Father Rochefort
struggled with his own beliefs and not turning in the killer. But then again,
you may have a point. Subconsciously, Nick may have been reacting to the
priest from his own anger at himself. I think we've seen him do this before.
Nick seems to either lash out at people around him or else he goes into his
shell when he's mad at himself, depending on the situation. Am I making any
sense with these ramblings? <g>

Portia 1 <portia1@m.......> wrote:

PS. I like Kit's take on why Nick was so excessively angry at the Priest, but
maybe he was also transfering something else -- he's angry at himself for
turning his back on his faith and so directs that anger at a representative of
that faith. It's an idea....

I think Nick's discomfort there was probably just caused by his own situation,
having lost his own faith and being uncomfortable around a priest, which would
explain him not being uncomfortable around the shaman. Or it might depend on
whether shamans could be considered representatives of the light, going back
to another theory.

I think Portia is right the first time. Nick was angry at the priest for
not doing what *Nick* thought was the right thing. Was this not something
that again confirms to Nick that his disillusionment in the church is
warranted. Does anyone know it Catholic laws always offered the protection
of the confessional for all sins, or perhaps the church was different in his
day?

Thanks, but I think you are agreeing with Emily (yes, Em, you did make sense!).
The reasons you both are offering seem resonable, but not as satisfying as the
psychologically fraught ones otherwise offered!! "g"

I think Stonetree just didn't want to believe that his police commissioner
friend could be guilty of murder. My impression was that although Stonetree
was friends with both, he was closer friends with the police commissioner.
Probably they worked together in the past.

The connection, I thought, was that both women were victims of abusive men,
the kind of abusive men who make women feel that they are at fault for any
problems in the relationship.

As someone else mentioned, there is a reference in the Canadian version
(and maybe the Sci Fi channel version too) of Only the Lonely that hints
that Nick tried to whammy Nat after waking up in the morgue. There is a
scene where he bumps into her on the street and after he goes by, Nat
stops and says, "You're testing me. To see if I remember." He even
starts to try to whammy her again and she tells him not to bother, that
she can't be hypnotized or "maybe I don't want to be". Shortly after that
they have the conversation where Nat offers to help him (where he talks
about evil being a metaphysical condition and she ends up telling him that
solving a puzzle is her reward).

>LaCroix was able to whammy her (or
>did he drug her wine first?) and put her into a hypno state fairly
>easily.

Although it's been stated that Catharine Disher played that scene as
though she had been drugged, I don't think there's any real evidence
that LC drugged her wine. I personally think LC is "old and powerful"
enough not to need to do that.

>Is that what made Nick's suggestion stick after LaCroix left
>Azure or am I right and Nat is not a Resister?

I also don't think there is any clear evidence that it was Nick who
hypnotized Nat into forgetting what happened at the Azure. I think
a case can be made for it being a side effect from LC's hypnotism of her.

And I would bet even a Resister would have trouble resisting a whammy
by LC. In Ashes to Ashes, at Divia's funeral, Nick asks LC to whammy
Tracy and make her forget Vachon is dead and when LC mentions
that she was a Resister Nick says he's seen LC work around that.

>If that's the case, Why
>didn't the enforcers get involved after Nick didn't erase her memory of
>his 'resurrection"?

The Enforcers only act if someone has empirical evidence (tangible
proof) that someone is a vampire. If Nick had disappeared from
Toronto after waking up in the morgue, what real evidence would Nat
have had that she'd seen a vampire?

Actually, no. That was the main reason for the Reformation. (Being a good
Minnesota Lutheran, this was pounded into my head as a kid. - not literally!)
Things actually were much different in Nick's time. The idea that you had to
atone for your sins was prevalent - they believed that if you did enough good
works, gave lots of money to the church, etc, you would eventually be
forgiven. Of course, the peasants who couldn't give a lot of money to the
church felt very much left out of the loop.
