I thought this too, and having just watched Baby, Baby...I am sure Serena
was crying blood tears at the very end there. Anyone?
Perhaps it was too difficult to have Ger cry blood for the scene, so just
went with clear. Or maybe Nick had come across, or maybe it was all a horrid
dream...yes, that's it...never happened.<g>

As far as I understood, they were real tears that he shed because he was
saddened over the ending of the show and having to leave his friends (Nigel,
Catherine, etc.). (My mother used to be in the GWDFC, and I believe that I read
it in the stuff she got) They left it in the scene, I'm guessing, because it
was so 'Nick', and because it gave a bit of hope that somehow he was regaining
his humanity.

How about the reverse of his previous challenge. It might be interesting to
watch him try to deal with his desire to *regain* some of the things he lost
without also returning to the "monster". Would he decide the struggle was
worth it to have back the things he used to catch criminals? If so, who
would he ask to bring him across again?

How would he react to LaCroix if he were human and his father no longer
could really control him (short of killing him, of course). Would he truly
never want to see LC again or would there be so much shared history that
even mortal he would have to have some interaction.

Previous discussions have used all of the possibilities you mentioned, but
one of the things that's also been pointed out is that the blood Serena's
face may be just a smudge left from her "meal". Since Janette's eye's fill
with tears in "Father's Day" and they're clear, it's possible we created a
myth that isn't really supported by canon. However, it is definite that
Nick sweats blood so, as is wonderfully true about so much of FK, it's
definitely open to interpretation.

I agree, and would add that this is what made the flashback device (when
used well) so effective. We got the dramatic "best" of both worlds.

My personal theory is that whether or not tears are filled with blood may
relate to how long it has been since they've fed. A vampire who has fed
recently may cry red or "blood" tears, while one who has just fed but
***whose body has not had a chance to process the meal*** (or who hasn't fed
recently) may have clear tears. Of course this is my PERSONAL way to look at
things and everyone else's view is likely to differ.

This isn't at all like the fact I know that Screed wasn't dead, just restin',
so popped back into the scene just in time to dig up Vachon and helping him
back to life... I mean undeath, bring across Tracy, then arrive at Nick's
loft just in time to knock the stack out of LaCroix's hand and finish the
process of bringing Natalie across.

Meanwhile, in BBI, Cohen and Schanke had left the plane to catch another
flight to Las Vegas where they eloped and Schanke is happily working as an
Elvis impersonator. As for Schanke's now ex-wife Myra, she's quite happy in
her return to singlehood and remains on friendly terms with Schanke while
their daughter spends the school year in Toronto and summers with her father.

See, that's what the RATPACK knows really 'appened.

H'it did!

Subject: Old Listee's home and dinos

I was cleaning house today and I realized that as of August, I'll have
been on Forkni-l for Five years. I guess that qualifies me as a list
senior citizen. Scary huh? Even scarier is that there are a lot of
people out there who have been on this list longer.

Since I was cleaning, I just couldn't leave the thought alone. This is
what I came up with.

Signs you may be ready for the old listee's home:

*You ever sent Cousin Cherri a cow. EEEKKKKKKK!!
*You remember the spam that led to creating SKL
*You even remember a few of the threads on that spam. (vampire crickets;)
*You read Tippi's Eternal Champions series.
*You still giggle when you think of LaCroix in a thong, with catipillars
as eyebrows, or in a tutu.
*You remember the whole mess with Aaron Spelling
*You've ever been thwapped by Doti's nerf bat.
* You remember when Mel moved her website.
*You read Vice Versa.
* You were glued into a beanie baby costume.
*You remember when the Vaqueros didn't have an evil pink bathroom.
*You remember when the perkulators weren't dark.
* You ever searched for Vachon's guitar.

Signs you may be a Forever Knight Dino

* You remember LaCroix's pet fish, Spike
* You lost your car in War 1
* You can remember when there were only one variety of Knightie and
cousin.
* You remember how the cousins got their name.
*You remember When Ron the Enforcer wasn't a vampire.

Natalie and Screed together as the perfect FK couple on JADFE
** You remember when McLisa was NOT the listowner

Eggs and Ham"
** You remember when the Unsuiteds were born (LaCroix/Schanke)
** You remember when Johnsie and Libs were the ONLY known Ratpackers (just
always remember, for every Ratpacker you see, there's at LEAST a dozen more
in the walls, attic, and basement!)
** You joined FORKNI-L or FKFIC-L while the show was still originally on the
air
** You remember when Nigel was still subbed to FORKNI-L and would VERY
occasionally post
** You remember when FORKNI-L and FKFIC-L did not have to have "number of

** You remember LaCroix's edible purple thong (or did Tracy Sue mention that
already?)

Any others? I'm sure I'll come up with some more!

OHMIGOSH! ;-) What evidence do we need other than that Nick voluntarilly
hung out with LaCroix for many many many many many years? Also, if Nick has
not seriously enjoyed himself over the years, then there is *no* inner
conflict. He'd drink cow blood and live happily ever after. He has a
numbetr of times gotten caught up in *the hunt* - in fact you might consider
he is hunting criminals as a pale substitue for hunting humans period. If
Nick isn't a dyed core level serial killer, then all his whining and angsting
is just tiresome. Nick is anything but tiresome (ok, maybe he is sometimes).
In fact he has a real vicious streak - (wasn't that him hanging the guy out
the window until Schanke intervened? Didn't he really get into the VR game?
How much joy did he take in tormenting Joan of Arc? How close has he been
to necking with Nat? Who was that who ran out to neck with Janette for fun
coz he reeeeally needed to sink his teeth into someone?)

And yes, I do think there is a good deal of romantic sanitizing of Nick - not
universally but considerable- depending upon the writer's, factions and
poster's proclivities. Let's face it, we have posters who like to imagine
the redoubtable LaCroix in a bunny suit. But that's ok, that's why we're
here and it's all good.

That's not what I meant. What I meant was that, given his eight hundred
years of life, we actually have very little *screentime* of him playing the
big, bad vampire. He's supposedly enjoyed himself for six to seven hundred
years. A fairly huge percentage. But the flashbacks we get of him doing so
don't comprise of anywhere near that amount. Most of what we have is
scattered comments by Nick, Janette and LaCroix, and a lot of guesswork on
our part.

But that's half the fun, isn't it? :-)

Subject: Blitzing for the Knight! August!

Hello Creatures of the Knight,

This entire month we are focusing on the two main powers, Tristar and
Sci-fi, PLUS TNT!

A lot of FK fans have wondered why we don't approach other networks about
possibly reviving the series. Well, we decided to include along with Sci-fi
and Tristar for this month a blitz to TNT to test the waters!!

E-mail: tnt@t.......
(and place in the subject line: "To The Attention Of The Vice-President of
Programming")

You also may call TNT's Viewer Comment and Question Line at (404) 885-4538,
however we ask that any phone calls be in addition to letters and e-mails.

For snail mail, send to:
Vice-President of Programming
TNT 1010 Techwood Drive, NW
Atlanta, GA 30318

Its going to be a triple dose of e-mails from each of you the fans that
would love to not only have FK back on Sci-fi's schedule, but want to make
sure everyone knows that we are want more FK with the original cast in new
episodes and or movies!! So, what do you say? Are you ready to sit down,
take that few minutes and send off three e-mails? It could make all the
difference in the world!

Remember, say a little or say a lot, but say it!! We can make more FK
happen!!!

For the "whole" month of August, we are asking everyone to blitz the
feedbacks!!! For the month, you can re-use the e-mails you did before, or
write new ones. They can be long, or as short as just saying, "Bring Back
Forever Knight."

Important info to add in your letters: Sunday July 16, at 9:00 pm, ET/8:00
pm CT, SciFi will be airing a monthly program focussing on sci-fi movies and
tv shows that have become "cult" favorites among fans. The program's called
"SCIography", During this current blitz, we could ask that an upcoming
"SCIography" ep feature FK! So far, they plan to do eps on "Battlestar
Galactica", "Quantum Leap" and "Sliders", so asking them if they plan to do
a "SCIography" ep about FK can't hurt.

Also, beginning this Monday, Sci-Fi will be airing "Sci-Fi World", which is
a 6 hour block of sci-fi programs with a different theme each day. It's also
possible to ask them if FK will be a part of the "Sci-Fi World" programming
block! So, be sure to include these new ideas in the summer blitzes!

ALSO REMEMBER!! Sci-fi will be changing its schedule around again in the
fall.... lets make sure that we get Forever Knight on!!!

Sci-Fi's E-mail: feedback@w.......

Sony/Tristar Mail Form: http://www.spe.sony.com/spe/help_feedback_index.html

When e-mailing TriStar,(especially) give as much personal info as you
can...rather than just an e-mail name. A bit more personal carries more
weight with TPTB.

There's also a button, I made, which you can post on your websites to spread
the word about the blitzes. Have it link to my "Save FK" page.

Happy Blitzing!!
Kristin
http://members.xoom.com/forever_nick/Forever_Knight

P.S. I'll be sending out reminders for the blitz once a week through out
August, just to make sure you don't forget! :)

Well, hello from California! Had to come back for unexpected family
obligations, so I'm actually getting the list out close to on time.
I leave back to China on Thursday night, hopefully I've worked out
things with Monique sending me the guide, so I can continue to keep
you all taping.

And what a list it is. I've been doing this for almost 3 years now,
and I don't remember ever having one this long. As I was going thru
the Satellite Guide, and checking my list, at first, at the rate I
was finding things, it would have been twice this long, but gradually
the "hits" slowed down.

But, there are things here that I've never seen come thru before, if
you're trying to fill in, or start a collection, this is a great month!

I've added some info at the bottom, explaining some of the information.

I'm still checking out TV show episodes, so hopefully there'll be
an update in a day or so.

Well, I want to get this off now, I'll keep searching as I have time,
but I've got lots of stuff to finish up before Thursday night.
As always, check your local listings for exact times, and there is
a chance of a typo, so don't wait till the last minute. If you've got
any questions, drop me an email at an addy in my sig.

I have a question -- did anyone see that David Duchovny/Minnie Driver
movie, "Return to Me"? In one scene, David's character has chinese food
delivered, and I could have sworn the delivery girl was Divia! Did anyone
else see that? Have I just got too much FK on the brain?
