As a longtime dressage rider I look at seat and hands--GWD's not bad, good posture, doesn't flap his elbows as some other actors are known to do. However in QoH when he rides away from De La Barre (sp?) he can't get the horse to transition from a walk to a canter without going through a rather awkward trot and some emphatic kicking and vocal commands. That's a no-no. So he gets about a B- on riding skill in QoH. I ain't complaining, though--he's tons better than most actors. I looked at the Family Channel schedule recently to see if Bordertown was still around (the premise of Due South is very much a latter day Bordertown -- it also had an American sheriff the Mountie worked with). It's not still there, and the dearth of variety in their programming strongly suggests there's not much money there. And since Due South's problem is a financial one, the Family Channel would not appear to be an optimal target. - Sue Bergstrand sjanis@tyrell.net "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from a rigged demo." ------------------------------ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 Jun 1996 22:40:11 MET From: "R. And -- tamtaratam -- I was told that they will repeat the first season from Wednesday, July, 31. on. :-))))))) There is no exact schedule yet, but they told me that they will broadcast daily one episode! Unfortunately, the lady I was talking with, didn't know, if they bought season two episodes and if they are planning to broadcast these episodes. Hope, they will do this (season two hasn't been shown in Germany, yet)! Just wanted to share the good news with you. Ray ;-) ********************************************************************* * R. If I can do a tape for you, you've already received private email from me. Otherwise, I'm sorry, but I can't help you. I'm no longer set up for dubbing, so I can only tape from the TV and my VCRS are now all spoken for. But good luck in finding someone to help.
