I know that you didn't intentionally mean any harm by this, but by anyone
taping the CD for you, we are undermining the effort. We want to see the CD
do really well and that can only be done by each of us making an individual
purchase.

In regard to Leslie's posts. Quite a few of us have been doing this all
along. Rather than an organized effort, I'd like to think that people are
just doing this. I don't want to be rude, but people should be organizing
themselves instead of having to be broken up into groups etc
Prior to the release, Buzbanzai informed us that the CD should be out in all
major record stores,such as Blockbuster Music, Sam Goody and Tower Records.
What I think would be more helpful is, once someone does find the CD in a
store, let the rest of us now so that we can patronize that store and make
sure that it gets bought!

This was 450 years ago. There was no such thing as a political activist.

He was only peeved at Vachon because Vachon wasn't holding up his end of
their promise to the Angel (their creator). He was tracking Vachon down so
that he could make Vachon do his duty. Finding bombs and averting massive
destruction would fit neatly into the Inca's promise to his creator. He
would have done it with or without Nick and Vachon.

Ummm.... copying non-commercially available episode videos is one thing.
TPTB are tolerating it & it's not necessarily copyriht infringement
(i.e. no profit made, not available elsewhere, like an out of print book,
making a copy for yourself & "lending" it to a friend). BUT Pirating

--Inca knows from Nick (they've been talking, right?) what Vachon is

--By catching & killing VUDU, Vachon "kept his end of the bargain" to rid
the planet of bad guys (& this guy was just about to LEVEL ALL OF

bush."

--Even Forensic Pathologists need to make court appearances to give
expert evidence. Hence the suit(s)! Also, since the beginning of the
season was USA's attempt at more "silk stalkings" perhaps this was
their way of "sexing up" Natalie. Not that she needed it, but it fits
USA's pattern at the time. if you note, she's still in her skivvies
"back at the lab."

Cohen and Schanke were transporting a prisoner, who had been involved
in one of Vudu's bombings in another province, back for extradition.
At one point in BB, Nick says in one of his guilt attacks that he
should have been on that plane. He'd urged Schanke to go instead because
Schanke wasn't "allergic" to sunlight.
There's also considerable talk about Vudu's having killed a plane
full of people just to keep the other man from implicating him.

There *was* a bomber on the plane. Nick and Schanke had (off screen,
before BB begins) captured a guy they suspected of being the bomber.
It turns out he *was* a bomber, but not the serial bomber (that was
Vudu). The assumption was that Vudu bombed the plane because the
captured bomber (whose name I've forgotten, sorry) had messed up his
pattern.
If you watch it again, you'll hear discussion to the effect that
Schanke (rather than Nick) got all the glory by getting to take the
prisoner, and Nick telling Schanke on the phone that there would
probably be a lot of press at the other end.

Apparently the thong has slipped up into your memory. Schanke and Cohen were
tranporting the guy who bombed a courthouse. Remember the whole discussion
in the precinct that VUDU bombed the plane with the bomber on it because the
bomber messed up his pattern of 3.
Perhaps Tippi will have to be stripped of the thong and placed in a cow suit.

Both the Undernet and EFnet channels are #foreverknight
Due to network splits the EFnet channel might not appear visible when you
sign on.
We have found the following servers to be most effective in reaching the
EFnet :
irc.mo.net irc.frontiernet.net irc.cdc.net
irc.winternet.com
It is almost a 24 hour channel so you are likely to find someone on anytime
you go there. Persistence is necessary during high volume activity hours
(the evening).
If a server is down or busy just go to the next one, and keep trying all of
them until you get on.

and that this "hunter" became so because he was cured after being
bitten. We have an episode called "Hunters," an episode called "Hunted,"
and a whole different episode featuring this hunter <she remarked

You know what? "Dying for Fame" is a truly marvelous episode.
It oughtn't be. By all rights, I ought to think it's really stupid. The
superficial plot is trite, and the leftover-from-the-eighties rock star is
a stereotype that usually annoys me no end. And as I began watching it
for the first time last week, I was a bit nervous that someone would come
into the room -- "fan kill" is not exactly the best platform from which to
extoll the virtues of FK!
However, when the episode ended, I was grinning my fool head off. *This*
is what I love in FK. Many-layered complexity, and a respect for the
audience's ability to put the pieces together. Not to mention "Dark Side
of the Glass," which suddenly assumed its proper significance in my mind --
not having seen DFF, the connotation had seemed to be C&C.
I'll have to go back and see who directed this, because he or she
integrated the dream sequences in that almost seamless fashion I most
appreciate. And, of course, they were all dream sequences. I've seen the
prison vision analyzed on list, usually in connection with the Unnamed
affiliation, but I've never seen the others discussed. Would anyone like
to do this? Any pet theories? The C&C dream world is the product of
Nick's guilt, and is usually taken as embodying what he has denied people.
The DFF sequences seem to be how he perceives his vampiric existence; they
are much more external than those in C&C.
I'm not sure what to make of the "Woodstock" vision, but the sequences
with the televisions enthrall me. They relate directly to that GWD quote
posted here not long ago, about Nick being an urchin in a Dickens tale,
looking into the warm, well-lighted home with the feast of mortality, from
the dark, cold street of his vampirism.
Best of all, of course, in DFF, Nick wins. I love it when Nick wins.
And that final, triumphantly raised arm as Nick strides away from the
storefront in the vision is absolutely priceless.

midst of negotiating San Diego rush-hour traffic, yet -- no easy feat!) and

Themes in FOREVER KNIGHT
Light & Darkness (classical good vs. evil analogy) / hope vs. despair
Alienation, loneliness, the loner as an Outsider in both worlds
Self-loathing vs. self-acceptance
Humanity & the human condition: denying our base (evil) nature, our 'animal'
instincts, 'civilization' as a sham/veneer
Human foibles, comic and otherwise (Schanke)
Redemption/Medieval Catholic views on penance & atonement
Nihilism/futility/despair
Forbidden love/the 'untouchable' aspect/self-denial (Nick & Natalie)
Sensuality & sexuality (including bisexuality)
Morality vs. amorality (Lacroix)
Abuse & many deeper, darker psycho-sexual aspects of human nature: sado-
masochism, control, incest, slavery...
Immortality: the Dorian Gray syndrome, 'moving on'
Predators
Self-delusion (if you wish for it hard enough, can you bring it to pass?)

Blood symbology, sensual on one side, religious on the other: blood lust vs.
blood redemption
Irony
Vampires as an overall metaphor to the human condition
Lacroix, Janette and Nick as a Dark Trinity (Father, son and... daughter!)
The Beast: control vs. losing control
Ambivalence: wanting something you also fear; being pulled in two directions
("Just be yourself," / "Just _change_ yourself.") Neither a
realistic alternative
The Soul/Eternity/Life After Death/God/Judgment
Intolerance & rigidity
Insensitivity
Inner demons/conflict/addictions
Archetypes of good & evil, but with divisions often blurred

This could go on and on (and probably will!) FK has so many *wonderful*
layers, you could go on 'peeling' forever...

The ep is Bad Blood. Its a Leprechauny-fairy- tale kinda ep.
Schanke buys ... ah ... a chili dog ... or two.
The ep has Fairy Dust, just a sprinkling....
Good Janette putting up with LaCroix's games ep. I love her expression
in the end, it would have been bleeped if it was verbalized.
