Wow, it's really neat that this will instantaneously (nearly) go to Germany!
I'd love to visit someday...my dad was born there and says the scenery is
beautiful.

You mentioned stories people sent you? I've missed quite a bit and as a Dark

I've just gotten a story title listing with over 600 names!!

I'm only looking for a handful.

Let me know...

Sorry, I haven't learned to quote with this e-mail software yet! At any

The story is one I am currently looking for that involves Nick and LC
attending a swanky soiree in the 1800s, LC inviting a sulking Nick to fly
over the formal gardens, and then, in a remote part of the gardens, ending
up biting each other. It's mildly JADFE stuff, and well-written. The story
might be called "Serpent's Kiss" but I'm not sure--no one's sent me a copy
yet. If I get one, though, I'll forward it on to you.

Hi all!!

Thank you to all the people who have so kindly replied to my request for
stories.
The general info, though, is what I already have.

To reiterate: The sories I need are NOT currently on any web site that I
know of. I have been to Jadfe and Mel's fiction page. These are NOT there.

Any help in forwarding stories that you might have will be greatly
appreciated (payment in virtual chocolate, flowers, my first born...!)

BTW, as a thought to all the 3rd season eps I've been rewatching lately, has
anyone else noticed that Nick still appears quite young in the flashback
scenes, but as present day Nick he is much older looking. I know the actor
is a few years older, but he still looks quite young in the flashbacks. Is
it because Nick has decided to do a few tricks to look older as he's stayed
in the same place for a number of years? His collegues would be aging and so
he would have to be, too.

What do you all think?

In BMV, Nick furiously demands of LC, "What feeble excuse do you have for
backing out on our agreement? You swore never to invade my life with
your mindless killing."

I have always assumed that this "agreement" dated to LC's reappearance in
KI, at the beginning of the second season. However, I have now seen KI.
It isn't there. So where is it? What "agreement" are they referring to?
It sounds pretty darn important.

And while I'm here, what is the proper name for the the kind of cross

Hi Everyone,

I have just received confirmation from channel 10 that they own the rights
to seasons 2&3 of Forever Knight!

The letter I received from them was in response to an inquiry I made back in
January this year. I know that some others of you had contacted them also
and may have received the same letter. Isn't it great to finally have
confirmation! I think this is a good time to send more encouraging mail to
the channel, and perhaps encourage them to choose a reasonably early and
regular timeslot.

For your information the following is a partial transcript of the letter I
received:

Thankyou for your letter dated 16 January 1996 regarding FOREVER KNIGHT.

I am sure that you will be pleased to know that we own both series two and
three of this show. However they have not been scheduled at the stage, but
be sure to keep your eye on your television guide.

The letter was signed Kristin Marlow. This was the lady who took the
unprecedented step of placing an unknown (at the time) 'science fiction'
show called "X Files" in a 'prime time' slot. A good person to have on our
side.

By the by, our Brisbane group of Forever Knight fans will be having our
'Fangs for the Memories', 'Last Knight' party on Saturday 6th July looking
back over the *first* three seasons. Please E-mail myself or Jill,
jillcr@p....... for info. This is by no means our last party, we look
foward to many more, and hopefully many new fans thanks to this great news.

I don't believe Nick would kill to regain mortality...not in his character.
(Find the other cup...kill the one who brought him over {as is the original
movie}). But kill indescriminately - JUST to regain his mortality - I don't
think so.

I should think that since Janette simply gives the name its correct
French pronunciation, the spelling would be Nicolas.

Yeah, it was a sort of surprise to us when BMV aired. "Did we miss
something?" reaction. But, no, there is nothing in canon to spell that out.
So it's up to fan fic.

They never pinned down exactly when Nick told Natalie that LaCroix was back,
either.

As for spelling Nick's name--they've actually spelled it in language
cationing as "Nicholas" and "Nicolas." Personally, I prefer to have Janette
use "Nicola" because it IS a proper male name (contrary to the few people
who have corrected me) and because for her it appears to be an affectation.
Trivia question--how often and when does Janette called him "Nick"?

you that the heavy "adultish" stuff can be done, done well, heck, even
done by Disney. In the final, a guy got paralyzed, which was a first I
think for a cartoon. Now, the seriousness might not last into the third
season (Saturday mornings now), but...

Well, sorry to ramble, but I just wanted to put in an optimistic voice here.

'Nother thing: has anyone done a kabalistic (well, not completely)
analysis of stuff on the show. I'm not a professional, or even certified
(certifiable? hmmm... tough one), but I was looking at this book on
alphabet magic, and realized that the first and last consonants in my name
("K" and "N") can both mean death. As those are also present in "Knight"
and "Nick", I was just wondering...

(ah well, I bet someone else has brought that up before)

Subject: LIST: What's this with the misposts, people??

Yo. Assistant listowner here. Lissen up.

There will be NO sigs over five lines long.

There will be NO quoting of more than 4 lines in a row of a previous post.

There will be NO crossposting without SPECIFIC LISTOWNER PERMISSION IN
ADVANCE.

There will be NO private e-mail deliberately posted to the list.

The list rules are posted at <http://cac.psu.edu/~jap8/FK/FKRules.html>.
Clarifications of the list rules are available by private e-mail to me at
<immajer@p.......>. There will be NO violations.

Violators of list rules will be subject to appropriate penalties. There
will be no further warnings. THIS is your warning.

And there is NO SUSPENSION of basic list rules during War-time.

Man, when I wake up and have to sift through post after post that
disregards the simplest items of long-term list policy, all by people who
oughta know better, or have been here long enough to at least have attained
a FAINT clue... I tend to become ANNOYED.

And there is a War coming up, and I plan to participate in said War; and
because of this I do not have time to go combing through posts looking for
rules violations. But any I find, I'm gonna deal with at ONCE. Wartime is
no excuse for ignoring list rules, especially the really really *basic*
rules named above. And it's also a particularly BAD time to be wasting
bandwidth.

To those people who rarely mispost, and are reading this bit o'ranting
anyway, I apologize. To those who have become... careless about their
posting: don't even bother getting miffed at the tone of this post, I don't
want to hear it. I am in Full-On Terminator Mode, I've got Hand and the
Whompin' Fuzzies at the ready, and I'm a-huntin' wabbits.

I love you all. I really and truly do. But don't $#@! with the list
rules, or I'm gonna get MEAN.

posting private e-mail to the list. He is, after all, the Music God. But
he is the ONLY one. :-)

This *is* an interesting thought - Nick would be about what, say,
28-35 years old (wasn't this debated once, without resolution?) and,
assuming he stays in one place 10-20 years (as Janette says - "20 years in
one place is long enough") he would have to do something to make himself
blend in with the people he sees on a daily basis. Even using the excuse of
plastic surgery, weekly facials (all on a cop's salary....yeah, right!),
etc. would not allow Nick to plausibly remain amongst his unaware friends
for more than 10 years or so without doing *something* to "look older"!

Either it was a very clever ploy on the part of the make-up artists
of the show, or the show accidentally used the actor's tiredness very
effectively!

Hi list!

I'm not sure whether it has been posted before because I am far behind on
reading my digests but quite some time ago (sorry, for not mentioning this
earlier) the German FK page moved to a new address. You can find it at
*members.aol.com/DanaKappes/main.html*.
Among others things you'll find there: The infamous picture of the
'bare-chested' Nick (Hi, Allison:-), the Lucien LaCroix Gallery and several
pictures of Nick looking like Benny Hill... (Sorry, Azaeel, just couldn't
help myself...don't hit me!!! Can I bribe you to forgive me with the offer of
a barbeque next weekend?)

Anyone who doesn't know *Benny Hill* and why he looks like Nick, e-mail me
privately for clarification:-)

The usual French spelling of Nicholas is 'Nicolas'.
The s is silent.
Some Nicholases in France do include the 'h' in the spelling if they were
named from another language, as was a bi-cultural English-French teacher I
once knew.
In general, the final consonant in any French word is NOT pronounced unless
it is C, R, F, or L (memory help: "careful").
IMO Janette's breathy elongation of the 'a' in Nicolas did more to establish
the sensuality of her character than did all those tight dresses.

is the address. Though you may see other addresses in any responses,
please be sure to use this address to get to SciFi. When I cooresponded
with the SciFi feedback lady, she also had usa.com addresses on her sig.
It was then that I learned that SciFi is part of USA Network. The
feedback lady commented that as of June, USA Network was going to be
a) bringing up their own email address or b) splitting off for feedback
(whichever). Just want to make sure you're write to the station to whom
you believe you are writing.

Is there any definate info on whether Jim Parriott is producing, or is
otherwise involved with, the upcoming NBC series, "Dark Skies"? The TV
writer in my local newspaper mentioned "Dark Skies" in an article, and
if JP is involved with it, it gives me a good jumping off point to write
to her about Forever Knight.
