I like the original Nick Knight too. I enjoy it very much but I'm not a
Nader fan in that role. I like him in the soap he used to be in.
I was glad to see the dynamic change with Nat instead of the male Coroner.
I'm very glad they didn't do the face change in the TV series (probably
because of budget but I still don't like the ugly face changes). I like the
original Aleice (sp) better.
I did see it after seeing the original show for awhile so, had Nigel as
LaCroix in my head... he is the best LaCroix.

My reaction to the Nader LaCroix was just the opposite. I couldn't imagine
who anyone could find him anything but a nightmare. Oh, well, as my mother
always said, "difference of opinion makes horse trades" : )
I do remember being fascinated with how differently the two actors played
the same lines.

I hated the face changes too and was glad they weren't carried over.
I much preferred Nat as coroner. Did you know that it was Ger and Catherine
DIsher who decided to play a subtext that Nat was in love with Nick? To me
it's so obvious that it's hard to believe the producers hadn't thought of it

I agree. A clear case where less is more.

That has always surprised me also. I always assumed the recasting of
the coroner to be female was in part to provide a romantic tension
plot point for Nick.
