That's interesting. Usually when they do a marathon, they do the same
ten episodes over and over. This time, they're doing the first ten
episodes. I wonder if they'll do the whole series, one marathon at a time.

My guess, the annual 31 days of Halloween theme on SyFy.
They needed horror-themed content.

If you are using the concept that vampires=Horror, yes.
To me, the "good vampires" of FK are clearly not presented as horrific
characters.
The worst I can say about most of them is that they are predators. They
aren't evil - necessarily - they are hungry.
I believe a lot of folks would agree that Syfy's categorizations of what it
broadcasts are rather "loose".
