Not if my memory is correct.
Season 2 begins with Nick and Don assigned to a new precinct with a new
captain...no explanation given.
Season 3 opens with Captain Cohen and Don being killed in a bombing...if my
memory is right...that is also the episode where Captain Reese - who took over
in that precinct house for Captain Cohen - has a near-miss with a box of
explosive chocolates.

I think Stonetree had that certain je ne sais quoi that I find in
many First Nations / Native American / American Indian peoples -- the
sense of what lies beyond our physical senses. It is exposed in his
little speech about the scorpion... I would not be surprised if
Stonetree knew *something*, but was smart enough not to let on.
