Subject: Joke factions
In the heyday of FK fandom, there were a lot of factions--I mean a *lot* of
factions!. On the Forever Knight Wiki, we try to be comprehensive. <g>
That means that I originally listed every name I could find. You can find a
sort of master list of them here:

Since doing that, I've made a few passes through the masses, trying to
create order out of chaos by making subdivisions. Some of them are obvious:
factions affiliated with a character (e.g. Knighties, Cousins, Perks),
couple factions (e.g. NNatPack, UF), other types of factions (e.g.
Mercenaries, Cross-Stitchers of the Knight, Knights of the Cross).
In the last couple of days, I've been pulling out two more subdivisions.
One of them is for *proposed* factions names:

guess that is sort of self-explanatory. When factions were first being
created, especially for major characters, quite a number of names were
initially suggested; but, in the end, only one became accepted. (It is
possible, though, that I may have missed something out.)
The other subdivision I've been making is for joke factions:

known that some factions are more seriously intended than others! However,
recent discussion with April French and Melissa Treglia has made me realize
that there are a lot more than I'd known. So I've started to put them in a
separate category.
The problem is that there are a number of different ways in which an
affliliation can be taken tongue in cheek. So many, in fact, that I wound
up making a special page just to discuss this:

What have I missed? What factions should be considered jokes, only
I haven't yet spotted the funny?
Where have I goofed? How well have I peeled apart the different
kinds of jokes? Have I listed as a joke something that actually should be
treated seriously?
