I'm reading a book that was one of, I think the May crop of new books at
the library where I work. It's called The Story of Libraries: From the
invention of writing to the computer age'. In the chapter that covers roughly
the 17 and 1800s, there's a mention of a book titled Lacroix's Algebra'
If the FK LaCroix had written the book it would be especially impressive
since he learned to do math with an abacus!

We know that Nick showed up on a gurney in Natalie's morgue as a result of
trying to save a bunch of people from an exploding pipe bomb (I believe that
that's the story). Has anyone written that particular story? And if so,
does anyone have a link to it?
Thanks, muchly,
Walt

I haven't seen anything, but once I get things settled at work I just might
write something up.

I believe I've read a whole series of stories revolving around that topic. But
it's been a while I can't remember any titles.
BUT, my friend PJ wrote a story that is Pre-Dark Knight.
It's called "From stranger to Confidante" an I have it on my own website.
Read it here: http://www.come-undone.org/pj_stories/confidante.txt

As of this moment, I am *THREE* -- yes, just THREE dollars short of my goal.
Today is pre-registration day, which means I get to hand in my cash
donations, combine that with my online donations, and get my ride
number. When I turn up at 6:30 this evening to hand in my materials,
I hope to be able to say that I'll have made my goal.
Please support me by going to http://main.diabetes.org/goto/bfbell
and sponsoring my ride!
