This is true...and I have read it will start on Sundance on August 7....first
season. I know there is nothing on the Sundance website yet, but there is
nothing posted for all of August. Patience ladies<G>.

I was getting ready to check out and waiting in line. I glanced over at a
display of video tapes and DVDs that were a dollar each. What do I see sitting on
the top? A DVD of Nick Knight (Rick Springfield pilot)! So I grabbed it! I do
believe there were more copies in there, (I picked up another tape but it's not FK
related) If anyone is interested I can check to see if there are more. It is a
REALLY basic DVD. I haven't watched it yet, but I think it's just the pilot, no
special features.

Nick Knight is really fun to watch. I enjoyed the variations from the FK
episodes. Seeing Schankee so different was fun. I preferred his look in FK. I have
watched NK many times and enjoyed it alot. Of Course Ger will always be my
favorite Nick...and LaCroix and Janette well there is no comparison...FK is
deffinately better.

Oh I agree. I love watching the movie, but I do prefer the series. I didn't
like the way they did the vampire make up in Nick Knight. I wasn't impressed
with the actors playing LaCroix and Janette. I have seen the actor who played
LaCroix in other things and he is a good actor, just not a good LaCroix. Rick
Springfield has a special place in my heart, but he is just not Nick. At least he is
easy on the eyes. I also prefer having Nat. The actor who played the coroner was
good, but there is a better dynamic with Nat. I remember when I taped this when
I first aired. I also remember my complete confusion when I caught Darl Knight
pt1. I remember thinking "I KNOW I've seen this before, I know these lines*,
but the actors are differ... WAIT!! It's that vampire cop movie I taped!!" And I
was instantly hooked. I remember thinking that the acting was better in Dark
Knight.

*I have an annoying habit of remembering almost all the lines of a movie or TV
show after watching it once.

I, too, have a special place in my heart for the original. I just think of
the movie and the series taking place in alternate universes, so I think of
Rick Springfield's character as Jean-Pierre, and Ger's character as
Nicholas.

I remember the first piece of fan-art I saw of Ger as Nick, and thinking:
"Who's this blond guy dressed like Nick Knight?" That, and fanfic was my
first introduction to the series, which has since taken me on adventures
(real and fictional) that I could never have imagined.
