Hi all,

I always ask myself why it is so important for some among us to watch/have
those scenes? Yes, here in Germany nearly nothing is censored. But is that
really what we want? I'm certainly not inhibited, but I don't need nudity and
more explicit violence in FK!
I let my fantasy do the rest... ;-)

Thanks Doris, thanks Lisa!

lol, I'm the same way about my fics! I tend to avoid the explicit stuff,
mostly because my imagination is quite active enough on its own,
thank-you-very-much! I remember reading (I think on this list) somone saying
something about the best device for erotica is the reader's own imagination.

OK, I know it's said every so often, but THANK-YOU ALL for being such wonderful
list-members, and even more thanks to our glorious list-mommy. Those who know
me know that I have nothing against a little friendly conflict <eg>, but I
dislike upheaval and bad feelings. One of the other lists I'm on is going through
a great deal of both at the moment, and I'm considering quitting that list.
*pout* it's disturbing and makes it hard to concentrate on my schoolwork. Anyway,
I was feeling bad, so I came back here for some soul-soothing, read all my new
messages and some old ones, and now I feel much better! It's incredible how
nice everyone is to each other, even when we disagree on a topic!
Thanks, everyone!

I think the hamsters took the day off or something that day, 'cause I
didn't get that digest either. You can read the digest at the Forkni-l

If I have a choice between anything and an unrated director's cut, I
always want the unrated version.
I prefer the "uncensored" version because it generally is what the
artists (director, writer, actors) had thought was the "correct way"
to express their vision. I'd rather see the "original concept" than
something fed through the blinders of a censureship board.
I also personally really like to see the stuff left on the
cuttingroom floor (IE, things like whatever was filmed for the German
versions), because I like to see what may have been.
As a for-instance, I purchased the ultimate director's edition of
the old Dawn of the Dead movie. It has 4 different cuts of the film
on it. Each unique and interesting in their own way.
I would be very interested in seeing all the footage actually
created for FK... german, canadian or whatever... just because I
like the series and like to see how it was "interpreted".

Subject: FK Memes

I was playing around at Memegen, and did a search on
'Forever Knight'. Only one actual FK meme showed up,
but it was pretty cool. Memegen really doesn't know
me. When I tried with my real first name, it came up
that Vachon was my master, and my preferred blood was
ratsie. Ratpackers, I luvs ya but *NOT* <g>

When I tried with my LJ user name I got Nick for a
master, LC for a mortal enemy, with my fave blood
being cow. The weird thing is, with all that, it said
my greatest desire was "to knock some sense into my
son". I am one conflicted vampire, I gather. I guess
that's what I get for having Nick for a master.

The Memegen quiz is called "If you were a vampire on
Forever Knight" and can be found at

Heh! Using my full first name, it says my master (and lover!) is Lucien
Lacroix, and my mortal enemy is Natalie Lambert. I apparently like to hang
out in the sewers (uh, no), and my blood of choice is is rat (uh, no again).
Using my livejournal name, my master is Nick Knight, my mortal enemy is
Lucien Lacroix (no!!!) and my lover is Donald Schanke (oh gods NO!!). The
one redeeming feature there is that I'll take whatever I can get my fangs
into.

Does anyone know if Ben Bass played one of the victims in Broadway's
*Sweeney Todd*? I was watching a program on PBS over the weekend about the
history of musicals, and in one of the scenes of this play, the victim who
was having his throat cut looked very familiar.

Also, I don't remember anyone mentioning here that Tori Higginson, who
played Erica in Last Act, is presently starring in *Stargate Atlantis*.

Thank you Laurie for sharing this. Under my handle used on various boards, my
master is LaCroix, but my mortal enemy *and* lover (how does that work out?)
is Screed. I live in an abandoned church, will take anything I can get
food-wise, and I can't wait to prove myself to my father.
On a related note, I figured out recently that I am a rat on the Chinese
zodiac. Not that I really believe in such things, but hey.

I tried it and this was mine.

If You Were a Vampire on Forever Knight by hearts_blood

Your Master is Javier Vachon.
Your Mortal Enemy is Javier Vachon.
Your Lover is Nick Knight.
You like to hang out at the Raven.
Your blood of choice is human, of course. What else?
Your greatest desire is to become mortal. You want to see a sunrise.
