"One more to go! Then whenever I want, there'll be the episode I'm thinking
about at my fingertips.

By the way, I'm watching disk 2 and find nothing wrong with them at all. VERY
clear picture and sound quality. I'm extremely pleased."
Here, Here, Libs!
My sentiments exactly. I think we ended up being lucky that they did not produce
the VHS videos. If they had made those they probably would not have given us
the DVDs now. Probably the best thing we can do now is thank TPTB profusely and
buy as many copies as our budgets will allow in hopes that we can get season 3.
Who knows, maybe movies are still a possibility too. I mean it took them close to
30 years to resurrect Battlestar Galactica but it happened. Granted we have the
undead factor going against us but they can always introduce another vampire
affecting virus or something to explain Ger and Nigel looking older. Or they could
just do what they did with Nigel's hair color...just change it and let the
fans suspend their disbelief.

Okay... what disc are the "about the show" and questions on?? For the life
of me I can't find them or handy signs pointing towards them.

<Replying to Sarah Merchant's post> This isn't the first time it has been
mentioned that there are other lists for prayer requests. I think we all need
to remember why we joined this list--to discuss FK. And it's always nice to
help each other out and know what is going on with each other. But on the other
side of that, when it gets to the 'can you pray for my twice removed fourth
cousin's neighbor's uncle,' it's a bit much. I'd be more than willing to send
positive energy and/or money if it was a list member/FK fan, but i can see
where that person is coming from who e-mailed her.

This is her grandmother. not "my twice removed fourth cousin's
neighbor's uncle"

I don't know of anyone that overwhelms the list with messages like this.

Just hit the delete key if you don't want to read it.

McLisa has given me permission to post like this if I don't think her or Don
are on-line.

The rules are usually posted by McLisa every Sunday or Monday. She is the
one (along with Don) who decides what is considered on-topic, and what is not.

Until her or Don says prayer requests are not allowed, I suggest people use
the delete key just as you would for any other topic which does not interest
you.

Further discussion of this needs to go directly to McLisa or Don. Please take
it off list.

Flames of any kind are not allowed, including posting those you've privately
received.

Thanks for understanding!

Let's focus on the wonderful fact we now have Season 2 on DVD, and saying
prayers if you pray or sending good vibes to all those affected by the tsunami
or undergoing other traumas. We are FK fans - one big family, maybe not always
happy, but certainly a family!

I'm sorry...let me get this straight.

Because someone on this List, of which I have been a member for MANY years,
felt that she had been inconvenienced by a prayer request, she wishes the
subject of the prayer request DEAD?!!

>>> Hopefully the old hag will die soon and i won't hear anymore from you
about it. <<<

And there are people (or at least one person) on this List who are okay with
that?!!

>>> i can see where that person is coming from who e-mailed her <<<

I am disgusted and sickened.

Anyone who has been on this List for any period of time knows that McLisa
calls this a "List family" and allows posts about things significantly
affecting the members' lives (deaths, births, illnesses, etc.).

Apparently some people here seriously need to consider what it means to be a
human being, and a member of this "family", such as it is.

It *is* the Natpackers who bounce, right? Well, I was in starbucks today,
and though I don't drink coffee, they make killer cocoa. They have a new
one. It is like the cappuchino of cocoa. They describe it as "chocolatey
chocolatiness with chocolate on top" (but spelled correctly.) It's like
drinking condensed, warm, fudge. I made it through half a small cup before I
couldn't drink anymore (loved what I drank) and have been bouncing for
hours. ::sigh:: I'm gonna get kicked out of the Mercs for all this
perkiness. <G>

I think you will be ok since the perkiness is coming from chocolate, though I
could be wrong... how much you wanna bribe me to keep them off of ya? :-P

The line "Hopefully the old hag will die soon and i won't hear anymore from you
about it." Was quite uncalled for. I am a bit upset that someone on this list
would say something like that to someone else who is asking for prayers. This
person is asking for help for her grandmother and to get an email from someone
with such a cold and callous remark does make me very upset. (It sums up my
bumper sticker quite well.. "Losing faith in humanity, one person at a time.")

I understand that some people might not want to read that stuff, but when there
is a subject or topic that I do not like or am not interested in comes up I hit
the delete key. It's not that hard a thing to do. Just my $0.02 on this
subject.

I will go back to lurking and if anyone wishes to send flames my way please do
so off list.

I have been sick in bed for five days or I would have jumped on this earlier.
Forkni-l has always done onlist prayer requests and notices about events in
listers' lives. We are a family and families should care about things like that.
Yes, there's a list for FK fans who want to support each other, which Libratsie
runs. That's over and beside Forkni-l. It was never intended to take the place
of Forkni-l posts asking for prayers or support in our lives.

As for flaming someone offlist, I can't control that, and I do understand being
upset enough to forward the flame to the list. I once did the same myself
before I was a listowner the first time.

So guys, let's take deep breath and calm down.

I apologize to the list for not notifying you or even Don that I would be out.
