At 12:36 PM 12/21/2004, Liz the Lucky typed these words:
>Prayers do work. I've seen it, even though I can't really pray myself. So
>I'm asking my FK family for theirs. Please help.

You got it. I know what it's like to be frantic over a fur-baby.

Cheryl my heart and prayers go to you and the family of the fallen author.

It is indeed a particularly dark day whenever someone leaves us, but when
that someone touches the hearts and minds of so many through their craft,
the void left behind has all that much more impact on those who enjoyed his
work.

As for those, like myself, who will now discover his works, it will be with
a sad heart that I will probably find myself enjoying the work, knowing that
it has ended in a way no story should

I will add his web page to my links as an effort to carry on his works to
others who may visit and want to learn of him.

Condolences!
Cousin Bob

Hi Cheryl and Everyone:

My condolences. To lose your mentor is always a
blow especially this close to Christmas....

Cheryl, hang in there. <*virtual rub on the
shoulder*>

Thanks

I forgot, in the rush of my last day in the office, to wish those on Forkni-l
for whom the solstice is a day of celebration "Happy Solstice." The greeting is
sincere, even if a bit late.

Ahm, guys, I hate to put this reminder on list in case anyone mistakes it for
an objection to the posts that prompted the on list replies. That's definitely
not why. I'm praying for everyone who asked, too.

But ... the rules include one against replying on list when your answer is
intended just for the person who sent a particular post to the list. This is to
keep volume down and private conversations from getting on list by mistake. Please
take a second look at the to: line when you are talking to just the person who
wrote the post. Hitting "reply" in most mailers sends the answer to Forkni-l,
not to the original poster. You need to cut and paste to get the reply sent to
just the person.

Thanks, and love to all who asked for prayers and all those who are praying for
them, or thinking good thoughts, or just sympathizing.

Love,

McLisa,

Subject: Last Day to send your congratulations to Catherine Disher

As I mentioned earlier, I would like to get this out the door tonight or
tomorrow morning at the latest. So if you wish to congratulate CD on her Gemini
award for her work in Snakes & Ladders, please drop me a line *privately* with
your real name (and home city, if desired) and I will add your name to the list
of signatures. Thank you very much to the 10 people who have done so already.

Your humble & obedient servant,
Angela Gottfred

Sorry, forgot to remind folks of the text of the letter:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We, the undersigned, would like to offer our warmest congratulations to
Catherine Disher on her Gemini award for "Best Performance by an Actress in a
Continuing Leading Dramatic Role". Way to go, Ms. Disher!
I'm still open to suggestions on how to improve the wording.
Your humble & obedient servant,
