Actually, they used 6 discs this time. The quality will probably be about
the same as the first season since season 2 has 26 episodes.
TVshowsonDVD.com listed the set as 6 discs and showed some menu screens (one
of which says "Disc 6"). Some online retailers are listing it as 5 discs for
some reason.

Remember, Season 2 has 26 episodes, so that would take
up more discs than Seasons 1 and 3.

season one, with the extras on the 6th. >

Actually, the episode name is "Section 24" and it was the 4th episode of the
6-part mini-series "Snakes and Ladders".

I know Will and Anna know, but I figured I'd put it out to the list
for a hopefully quick response.

I am labelling my filming site pictures and I can't remember the
episode where there is the drive by shooting at the very beginning.
I am thinking Amature Night, but it isn't seeming right.

Thanks!

Well, returning from LCA actually. My flight home was number 1228 leaving LAX
for Seattle.
Had a lovely time, btw.

That is so cool and you were even coming from a FK related event...
what are the chances?

Subject: Re: Labels -- what are they good for?

OK I wasn't going to chime in on this since I'm not a
writer, but I can't keep quiet. (I'm putting the blame
my the pain meds! :->)

I regularly read LOTR fan fic on another site, and I"m
listed as a beta reader for facfic for the site. (I
won't name it cause there is nothing FK related on it)
They list EVERYTHING, pairings, type of pairings, the
ratings (G through NC-17), what type of adult theme it
is (Slash, BDSM whatever). When they have a twist in
the story, they will list something like Legolas/??.
This is acceptable to me in that it keeps the suspense
but will tell you who is in the story. That is an
option for the writers who want to keep the twist
secret.

I don't mind the warnings as there are somethings I
would care not to read, but I'm not real pushy if
there are no warnings. The only one I will not budge
at all on is the adult label. I'm in no way a prude,
but I do know that some people don't want to read that
or have sites with the adult label blocked because of
the children that use their 'puters.

I guess what I'm trying to say in such a long winded
fashion is if there is something that I'm reading and
it has something I don't like I stop reading. This has
happened when I've read things that had warnings and
labels up the wazoo too. I will state that aside from
the writing that I'm beta reading and a couple of
fanfics that haven't been finished yet, I don't read a
whole lot of Fanfic anymore. I just don't have the
time.

I'm sorry if this doesn't make any sense. My pain meds
are making things understandable to me, but not to
others.

stories, and trying to nurse a screwed up back while

I received my Dracula discs today - and it IS Dracula The Series!! All 21
episodes if you buy the 2 disc set! :) (The front labels it: "A mixture of
The Lost Boys, Goonies, Indiana Joanes and Batman. It's a series that's got
life.... *eternal* life!") To find it - you still have to look for
'Dracula' and Jacob Tierney... it says available 4 - 6 days, and the price
is now $17.98 or so.

I'm just now stuffing disc 1 in my player to see how it is... I hope they
are better than my one ratty video... (It is Platinum Disc Corp, so we'll
see...)

I would expect the quality to be a little better
because they switched to a better film in the second
season.

That's true. The 2nd season did have better film stock, but I meant the
"video compression" will be about the same as season 1.

You can get them from amazon.com... do a search for Jacob Tierney.
(you get way too many results if you search for dracula) Right now
it ships in about 4 days. I had thought about ordering it several
weeks ago when it first came out, but it was backlogged or something
and said it wouldn't ship until December. But I ordered mine last
night, and it says it will ship on Nov 2.

It makes perfect sense to me. That's how my Smallville list labels all their

Chris answered Megan's post with:
> We all struggle against "natural" urges.(The "natural

> blood-ism, judgementalism, dishonesty, disloyalty,
> fear, despair. <snip good stuff>

In Nick's case, there is the added layer of complexity in that he carries
his burden of bloodlust by choice, not birth.
He chose twice, in fact: First, to let LaCroix bring him across and second,
to return to what the Guide described as "the evil that awaits you."
So the alcoholism metaphor doesn't quite fit his situation. Perhaps Nick is
more like someone who willingly takes a drug for the first time, knowing
that it is powerfully addictive but not caring because he has been promised
an endless supply.

On the other hand, thanks to FK's lovely inconsistency about choice in
coming across, not to mention the process itself, there are other FK vamps
who may indeed be seen as having to deal with a fate they didn't choose.
Urs and Serena, for example, seem not to have been aware of any decision to
live or die. Urs sought death, and would have walked through the door
gladly, and Serena would not have assumed she was still alive and pregnant.
