I don't think a public forum is the appropriate place
to be crabbing and complaining about 13 out of 125
people stiffing you out of paying for their zines.
This was a business venture and should be between you
and your customers. I sell on ebay and get Hoaxed
constantly by the Forever Knight Hoaxer, I don't crab
about on this forum, even tho I really really want to.
But I don't want to read about that here. I want to
read FK discussions about the show, Ger and Company,
and WAR WAR WAR.

Since quote-unquote "<>This book was produced at the requests by fans,
and for the purpose of sharing the story. The cost is exactly what the
publisher is charging me."

And since the fans were undoubtedly the fans on this list I do believe
that Deborah has a right to ask for payment on this list. She wouldn't
have published the book if it hadn't been for the fans asking her to
publish it.

Calling All Nick&Natpackers!

The 12th FK FicWar will be starting some time in November and your faction
leader, Soulseeker, needs you. Please join the Nick&Natpack for a couple of
weeks of fun and frenzy!! To participate, you must submit a permission slip
by October 25th. After October 25th, the Nick&Natpack War List will be
updated and scheming can begin!

Please fill out a permission slip similar to the one below, and e-mail it to
Soulseeker's minion at nnpacker@rogers.com

"I, <name>, <email address>, playing as <internet name you'll be using>
hereby express my intention to participate in the Forever Knight War 12 on
FKFIC-L, and hereby grant permission to other participants to portray me as
a character in their writing."

<<To be eligible to participate, each faction must have at least 4
members. Members of fractions, or those who choose to remain
unaffiliated with any particular faction, can play as Die Hards or
Independents. These people can submit their permission slips to me.>>
-War Maestro, as quoted in Julia's letter "War and Factions (was: Calling all
Cousins!)"

Just wondering if there are other Die-Hards out there sending their permission
slips to our kindly WM. I'd very much like to play as a Die-Hard, but if
the group does not have the required four members, I have a backup faction in
mind. Thus, I need to know if the Die-Hards have a good headcount before I
send my permission slip. Please e-mail me offlist if you are a Die-Hard or
Independent and playing as so, or even if you have a klew as to what's going on
in this situation. Thank you very much!

This is why the delete key exists, please use it. Deborah, I support your
efforts to get people to do the right thing. As for the slackers, remember there
is an enforcer with your name on it.

Hymon

I'm sort of unofficially McLisa's ListRatsie and she has given me permission
in the past to jump in when I think her and Don might be off line.

Since I know they are unavailable at the moment...

Please take discussion of this off-list. Deborah has asked those who owe her
to contact her, which I'm sure she meant off-list.

Those who want to grab one of the "unclaimed" zines can also do so off-list
where private messages should go.

If any one has an issue with me posting this, or with anything said on-list,
please e-mail McLisa or Don when they are back.

This will be my only comment on list. If anyone else wishes to correspond
with me about this, please me off list.

This was not a whine session, and I didn't make any profit on this project.
It took a lot of time and up front money. I posted this to warn people who
were considering doing a fanzine, and to let people know that there are
still copies available. I only did this fanzine because it was requested.
This fanzine was never to be sold for profit, especially on e-bay. This is
still costing me more money than what my return would be, even if everyone
paid. I did this out of the love for Forever Knight and the characters,
never to promote or make a profit.

I agree with you on this not being the forum for 'profit' ventures.

I'd like to know as well. Given a choice, I'd rather be DarkNN, but if they're
not going to be separate, I'll join the NNPack.

I'm new too, so I wouldn't be any help.

And I've been meaning to ask...what exactly is the Cousins faction all about?
