Hi Everybody,
I FINALLY got FK on DVD and am delighted. Just finished watching
the first two episodes. I have to admit I was amused by something I
had not remembered.... in the scene where Schanke is waxing poetic
about the Caddy he talks about spending the summer of '76 in
Madison Wisconsin. I live in Madison and can vouch for the fact that
we have lots of great l places to cruise in a caddy here. Madison
is a wonderful city but I wonder what made the writers pick here for
Schanke to hang out? Was Schanke a Wisconsinite originally or a
Canadian just hanging out here? If he was from Wisconsin why does he like
souvlaki better
than brats? Last of all, does anybody see Schanke as a Packer fan? Since
Nick lived
in Chicago would that make him a Bears fan? That could make a cute fan
fic...
Schanke and Nick watching a Packers/Bears game on Nick's satelite dish and
betting on
what team will win. Finally, an argument Schanke could win...

The list is still there, but it's been very, very quiet. But we're always
looking for folks who enjoy the relationship between Nick and LaCroix to
come over, stir things up, and have fun. (URL for the website and for
joining the list is in my sig.)
People sometimes ask us, what's the difference between the UF and CotK? The
best way I can put it is the way someone put it in War 11. We're
completely devoted to the connection between Nick and LaCroix ... without
actually wanting to see them be connected.
Bring 'em back alive!

Hello,
I am a slow learner sometimes, lol. I remember reading here that the
WarMistress/Master is kept anon. If they are a faction member, do they
still play on their faction as though they are clueless of all the war
intrigue? Or are they independents? It's an inquiring mind thing,
people, I haven't had any coffee yet and the possibilities for
underhanded dealings just kept making me giggle.
Whoever wishes to clarify this for me, I will be eternally grateful.
Good Morning and thank you.
As Always,
Kat

Subject: how long is a FK television script?
I've never seen a television script.
How manage pages/words would the script to a typical FK television
show be?
I've heard a figure that 1 page in a script is generally felt to be 1
minute of airtime (as a rough number). So I figure a FK script is 42-
46 pages... But is that a double-spaced page with lots of margin for
folks to jot notes? or single spaced with narrow margins...or what?
anyone ever heard any numbers for how long any given script took to
write? I know from reading about Bab5 and Firefly that some scripts
literally come together in a couple of days (of absolutely
concentrated effort either from pure inspiration or blind panic).
Any good stories about a particular Forever Knight episode related to
it being written?

I have seen Star Trek scripts among others and there usually about 40-50
pending the concept of the storyline. Stay safe

The FK scripts I have are around 60 pages or so. I am at work and I
have them at home so I am just going by memory.
Television (as in movie scripts as well) usually have wide margins,
presumably for notes or changes, and all of the words are in the
middle. Each time an actor speaks it is single spaced. Kinda like
this... (not an exact quote since I don't have the scripts here)
LACROIX (v.o.)
He was brought across in 1228, preyed on humans for their
blood.
Now he wants to be mortal again, to repay society for his sins
To emerge from his world of darkness, from his endless Forever
Knight.
I also have some scripts from movies and other shows and they are all
pretty much the same format.
