So dh & I are watching the season 1 DVDs, and we think we have made a
discovery-Capt. Stonetree is a vegetarian! (lacto-ovo type) In DK, his food
order is a "Chinese chicken salad, hold the chicken." And in Cherry Blossoms (I
think), he complains about "rubber eggs" from one takeout place, and in the tag
to the same episode (you know, the one where Schanke drinks Nick's protein
shake), he's the one who ordered the tofu burger. Any thoughts? Or is this all
old hat to you old-timers?

Hey -
I was checking out prices for my trip to Canada (woo hoo - airfare
has gone down a bit) since I plan to purchase next month when my
credit card will be clear.
And.... one of the hotel choices was the Intercontinental Downtown...
I was almost falling out of my chair when I saw that the hotel's
resteraunt was called the Azure! (That might be a clincher, since
the price was pretty good too)

I thought my vegetarian theory might be in trouble when we watched Hunters last
night; in the tag, at the police picnic, Stonetree has a hot dog on the table
next to him. BUT there was no condiments on the bun, no bites out of the hot
dog, and he left it behind when he left the scene. . . Verrry interesting.

It also could've been a veggie dog! Veggie Dog's have been around for a long
time now and any picnic that I go to I bring 'em myself. Stonetree might well
have done the same!

Unless its a Tofu hotdog. That would be legal.

Why should other hot dogs/veggie dogs be 'illegal'?
*puzzled face*

I agree that Stonetree seems to be a vegetarian. Or like so many of us, he's
just trying to lose weight.

I wanted to add that I know a number of people who usually eat vegetarian, but
will make occasional exceptions for various reasons. And, as others have said,
it could be a non-meat hotdog. In the local theater circles, if someone has a
bbq or cookout, the host will usually provide something for the vegetarians or
those trying to watch their fat intake, or else a vegetarian will bring
something.

Stonetree may "usually" eat vegetarian, or maybe he just doesn't care for most
meat just like I dislike most vegetables.<g>

Of course, as I point out in my latest contribution to the comic book world,
Atomic Mouse #3, it'd be horrible being a vegetarian vampire!

In the U.S., people on diets sometimes refer to food that they can't eat as
"illegal." Food that fits the diet is, of course "legal." As for tofu hotdogs,
I imagine Cheryl simply means that tofu is not meat and therefore is all right
for a vegetarian. If there are vegetable hotdogs, they should be legal, too, in
this sense.

here's an interesting one on the alumni front. Blu Mankuma was last on
Andromeda. Lisa is still there. And now Kristin Lehman will play in it,
too - with a twist. People who were at a recent Tulsa con mentioned that
Kristin Lehman will play the body of Holo-Rommie. I.e. the body, no head.
The head still belongs to Lexa Doig. make of it what you will, I had to
chuckle at the thought of evil Divia running around with the head of someone
else.

I should have known by now that chuckling while reading makes for reading
errors. Please ignore my previous post, the body will be just a body double,
not Kristin Lehmann. Sorry! Goes to look for another head for herself.

Kristin played Urs, Vachon's 'daughter'.

I think you mean Urs ... Katherine Long played Divia.
Still, it would be rather ironic if it were Katherine
Long since Divia was essentially a headless corpse,
albeit one whose head mysteriously reattached itself.

Ouch. You're right! All the more reason for me to dig out the tapes and look
for a replacement head....
