Please accept my apologies if you get this message more than once.

Bruce made it through his dental work okay, although the dentist had to sew up
some holes in his sinuses due to infection from his teeth. He can't blow
his nose
for two weeks or get any sinus congestion or he could bust the
stitches. So any
good thoughts or prayers in that regard would be appreciated. My daughter
and I
both have sinus congestion right now and we're hoping he won't catch any germs
from us. He's on an antibiotic though. He seems to be improving as far as
pain
and swelling is concerned, so hopefully things will work out okay. He
goes back
to the dentist on June 4th for a follow up examination.

Thanks again for the good thoughts and prayers.

Subject: Article about fanfic in the TO Star

Hi all,

a couple of weeks ago I listened to a program on CBC Radio about
fan-fiction writers on the internet. Now it seems the Toronto Star has
also jumped on the topic.
Here is the article of May 22 (yeah, it's a week old but this list was
clearly having other things on their minds).

cle_Type1&c=3DArticle&cid=3D1085049205610&call_pageid=3D968867495754

And, yes, FK gets a very brief mention.

Enjoy,

Doris

I'm sorry that clicking the link won't work. You have to paste the whole
thing into your browser to go there:

Geez, three times lucky I hope:

If you tried the other link you would have to take all the "3D" s out of it
first.

And if this doesn't work either, just go to the A&E section
and click the cartoon of superman.

Which CBC Radio show covered fanfic? Do you recall? (After all, we're about to
go into summer reruns soon, so that could come around again.)

If I recall correctly, it was the 'Roundup' on Radio 1. But don't nail me
down on this, it has been a couple of weeks.

It didn't work for me either.
I went to thestar.com and then typed Fan Fiction into the 14 day
site-search field.
The topmost link for Television's AfterLife seems to be the article
in question.

Yes, but to use on whom, *that's* the question. <weg>

Yeah, I saw that, too. <g> The mention of FK was
great, but the mention of Lois and Clark was much less
so, because the author cited a couple out of a group
of authors who write the most out-of-character fic in
the fandom...
