Libs says thusly...

fans to cheer him up as he recovers from Friday's surgery.

Awww, His Selfishness will like that, methinks! Next time you guys send him
flowers, is there any way you can let us common folk not in the fan klub
know about it? I'd have loved to help pitch in on it. I'm still working on
something for Hisself.... just haven't found/made the right thing yet.

That's adorable, Libs. Sure would cheer me up.

I'm actually not announcing anything (at this point) on the greg kramer fan
klub list (a yahoogroups) that I'm not announcing here just to keep my
sanity<g>
The flowers are being handled by a member of the klub who wanted to send
them from all fans.

People have been asking me for gift suggests. Keep in mind we are forwarding
the gifts from the US to Canada which can be expensive postage wise, so the
lighter the better. (As far as postage costs, I'm told they are covered for the
moment, but the person who'd know about that is Bonnie)

Greg loves crossword puzzles, mysteries, comic books (usually the more
Vertigo or independent publisher style - yes, I've sent him my latest already),
reading (besides mysteries, maybe unusual type stories), fun cards, homemade
cards
... think fun.

A few fans have sent me links to webpages with what they had in mind, then
ask me to narrow it down to something I think he'd like. I don't mind doing it
(in fact, am having fun), but am in a play at the moment so it might take me a
while to get back to you.

Bonnie is the collection point, so for more info e-mail her at
Callalily@l.......

My addy is Libratsie@a.......

Thanks to everyone for showing this droog the fans haven't forgotten him.
Hisselfishness is gonna be spoiled rotten (and he deserves it<g>)

It's the TV Guide for the week of May 30 through June 5th.
There are four different covers for the new Cult TV issue. I got the one
with Buffy on the cover.

I was there! I was there! This Knightie whooped and hollered at Ger!! And
I plan to do the same to him at "Cyrano."

Let's thank all the active fans and the KTK and Crusader crews for keeping
Forever Knight in front of TPTB for broadcast airings, CDs and the recent
DVDs. <clapping>

But Forever Knight, the premise, certainly also has a very long-lived
appeal. This list must be coming up on its 10th Anniversary?

I just realized something I left off my previous e-mail with ideas for things
fans can send the recovering Greg Kramer ... Ya know, them shiney pretty
thingees?<g>

I've received e-mails from fans in various areas who are pooling together to
get gifts specific to that location or chipping in on something to send from
the group.

I've also been asked about time frames... We're going to need to keep him
selfish and occupied for a while.

There's one cover with Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy, a second cover with
William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy of Star Trek, the third one has David Ducovny
and Gillian Anderson of The X-Files, and the fourth one is a cover featuring
The Simpsons...

Very cool that FK got mentioned... most awesome, indeed.

HTH! :-)

Yay! ::::does a happy dance::::: Good to be mentioned an ANY TV show related
list. (just NOT a list of the worst ones) I just today explained the
phenomena of our particular fandom to one of my uncles* today. He (is/was)??? a
scifi
fan, and attended many con(vention)s and even met his significant other at a
con. I explained that we don't really have cons**, but we have plays and
charitable events (i.e. MPICA, which he had actually heard of) instead, which
happen WAY more times a year than a con could. Other phenomena were discussed
as well, but the subject changed rather swiftly :(. Anyway, glad to hear the
news! I'll have to pick up a copy.
*no, not THAT Uncle. <g>

been a fan.

Subject: Rick Springfield--amusing interview

Rick Springfield, who played Nick Knight in the original TV movie,
did a concert in Atlanta a few days ago. The paper's "gossip column"
did one of those quickie Q&A interviews with him. I found some of his
answers amusing, especially as regards returning to the soap-opera
circuit.

Text follows:

Q: There's a place in Atlanta called 10 High that hosts live-band
karaoke. Along with Ozzy and Skid Row, the band plays "Jessie's
Girl." Did you ever categorize that song as heavy metal?

A: Never thought of it that way. Karaoke is a bizarre art form in and
of itself.

Q: What would be a good way for "General Hospital" to bring back your
Dr. Noah Drake chacater?

A: I could come back as a vampire. And they'd have to offer me a LOT of money.

Q: You like to throw your guitar up in the air and catch it. Have you
ever hurt yourself?

A: When I was in a band in Australia, the wind blew and it hit me on
the head. But usually, I catch it. I can enter the Olympic guitar
toss.

Q: Which role are you more proud of playing: Michael Rourk on "The
Incredible Hulk," or Lieutenant Zac in "Battlestar Galactica"?

A: I'm a big sci-fi freak so I'll have to say "Battlestar Galactica."
It's becoming like a mini "Star Trek" pop culture thing. I still get
calls to come to "Battlestar" conventions.

(Personal note: Wonder if he'd come to LCA? <g>)

Q: Your current album is called "Shock Denial Anger Acceptance." Is
that the sequence of feelings people have every time they're caught
singing along to "Jessie's Girl" on the radio?

A: Only in a heavy-metal karaoke bar.
