Didn't know my little FK moment could turn into a convo about plastic surgery,
but I'll take what I get. Janette's vampiric system may have absorbed the
ink, but I'd like to see James and Barney let us know if other foriegn, solid
materials get the same treatment. For instance, should someone get a toothpick
sized splinter from an unsuccessful staking, will it naturally absorb? How
about plastic or other man-made solid? Where are James and Barney when you
need them? Let's continue this conversation, please :)
AgapePhileos,
Dory.

Well, the bullet that Nick got in one ep (hmmm... Can't remember which
one - yet another excuse to go and watch my DVD's again!) had to be
removed by Natalie, so perhaps rather than absorbing the ink, Janette's
skin rejected it - you know the way if you get a splinter, and leave it
there, it will work its own way out? Maybe the ink just migrates up to
the surface of the skin and ends up being rubbed off. As I recall, she
just said "it will be gone by tomorrow".

Also, remember the Hunter (huntress?) who shot Nick with garlic-laden bullets?
Nat had to remove the garlic fragments from under his skin. I suppose (pass the
Oka) that the vamp physiology would take a lot longer to expel bullets or
garlic slivers than the tiny liquid ink droplets from a tattoo.
