Subject: Re: FK and The Breed (on topic enough, I hope)

Hi All,
one thought I had while watching The Breed was what would
happen in the FK universe if for some reason the FK vamps
were forced to present themselves to the human community?
Would there be factions that opposed "coming out of the
coffin"? How would our favorite FK vamps deal with humans knowing?
Take Nick, would he tell the other cops? As things are now the
other cops think that he is excentric but they don't doubt that he is
human. By revealing that he is a vamp would there be emotional
barriers as his coworkers perceptions of him change? What about LaCroix?
I can see him going either way. Would he regale his listeners on the radio
show with long artistic descriptions of the pleasures of being a vampire or
would he keep the knowledge to himself and feel superior?
Any ideas?

Lori

Well, kind of - couldn't think of a better subject.
Someone on list had mentioned a while ago about writing a fanfic
crossover between FK and CSI. Well, on CSI tonight, there is a case
about a body being found with a neck bite through the jugular. It
brings the agents into the undergound world of the vampire
subculture.
I am a fan of CSI anyway, but this should be interesting.

I think Nick and LaCroix would both oppose revealing themselves to
humanity. Neither of them have forgotten what it was like to be hunted by
humans. I doubt very much if they would willingly put themselves through
the experience again.

but if humanity did learn the truth I think LaCroix would first destroy
the vampires that betrayed them then take charge of the vampire community's
. Better to be in control of a mess than be a victim of it.

Nick would probably end up having to be the laison between humanity and
the vampire community. Always assuming humanity didn't decide he was
ultimately more dangerous than LaCroix because he is better at hiding
what he is.

Ultimately I'm inclined to go along with the Jarvinia's series in which
humanity does find out that there are vampires living among them.

I'd think if it did come out
it would be like something like Frankenstien
(the Enforcers would go insane)

Maybe, over time, mankind would learn to Co-exist
With Vamps (Like in X-men)

But I'd think if they "Came out"
Fear, would start a massive war between
Vamps & Humans

Or would there be a war between Vamps
Some who want to hide & some who want to expose themselves
(Please! there's a lady present)

Tuesday's NCIS Episode "My Other Left Leg"

Howdy everyone,

An offlist friend was asking me to ask around if anyone has written any
crossover stories with JAG and/or its spinoff series Navy NCIS (which, in my
not so humble opinion, is a seriously flawed name. For instance, "PIN
Number" means "Personal Identifcation Number Number", so along the same
lines, doesn't "Navy NCIS" in fact mean "Navy Navy Criminal Investigative
Services"? :-) ).

Anyway (okay, please don't brick me all at once in case you're a fan of the
show :-) ), I advised her that the chances of seeing a story combining the
two would probably be fairly poor, but that I'd put in the attempt
nonetheless. I've heard of stranger combinations (Airwolf, for instance....
:-) ), so although I don't follow JAG or NCIS myself, I'd actually be
curious to see a crossover story if one actually exists.

Also, while I'm at it, apparently the network made a snap decision
(basically at the last minute, I'm told) to show the new NCIS episode "My
Other Left Leg" at a non-standard time on Tuesday just past (i.e., right
after the repeat of "Yankee White", which was shown at the "standard time"),
which basically means that everyone who was taping at the standard time,
just plain missed the new episode. So....if any of you happens to have a
taped copy of this new episode that they're willing to copy for viewing
purposes only, please let me know and I can hook you up with my friend who,
while not normally prone to fits of cussing blue streaks, said more swear
words in two e-mails over one hour than I've ever seen from her in over ten
years of knowing her. Conclusion: She was seriously torqued off.

Also, of course, I must also add: Please reply off-list.

Thanks!
Will

That's the same performance I got a ticket for. I will be staying in NY from
March 23rd to 28th. I'd be happy to meet anyone of you there.

Man, the Las Vegas Enforcers must have been pissed off.

I taped it, and no, I don't have any copying capabilities for
anyone else who wants to step up to the crossover plate.
