What about naming the granddaughter Grace? Cynthia after her murdered
Goddaughter is also good. And if you're desperate, there is always Jenny, Myra,
Janette, Amanda (Cohen), Denise (Reese).

Cynthia Nichole... I like that. It gets my vote.

I guess I'm not one to ask--I tend to go against fic
canon when naming children. <bg> The names named are
good, but the child really doesn't have to be named
after anyone.

Actually, that helps alot <g>. I have thought of the perfect name
and it fits with where I'm going in the story great. (kind of goes
with canon, but stands on it's own)
Thanks so much for all the ideas! If you want to know the result...
well you'll just have to read the story when I post it. Hopefully
soon!

I'm pretty certain that Ge considers himself Canadian. After all, he's
been there since the age of eight or so. I don't think that living a
couple of years in France and the US would affect that at all.

As for names, I for one am not very fond of stories in which Nick
and/or Nat name their kids after other characters. I will add here
that, in my family, we don't go in for naming kids after relatives
(and certainly not after coworkers or pets!). I'd rather see the kids
with names that are compatible with the last name, and fairly "normal"
(nothing made up, no weird spelling, that sort of thing).

That's my opinion, at any rate, FWIW, which isn't much. <g>

I'm working on a surprise story and Nat's son is named Nicholas and he
interacts with Nick and I don't find it a problem. I like the name Cynthia
Nichole, named after her goddaughter and Nick. Maybe mention that Richared
named her that because that was the name Nat had picked out if he'd been a
girl! <LOL>

What was the name of Nat's Grandmother? The one with
the Russian accent (I think I'm remembering it
correctly) from the episode with the ghost house -
third season. Or was she not named?
Also, here's an idea : Nicole Deborah (Nicholas
DeBrebant)

In a fic i'm working on just now - i changed some English wording to French
for effect. This odd thought dawned on me that i haven't had a French class
since 4th grade and Spanish was the language to learn since then. Point
being i wouldn't normally, 'think in French.'

So, being almost two AM - having just finished two hours + of homework, my
addled mind wanted to express gratitude to the fandom, lists, and people
that educate us to the finer points of FKnightness - such as language,
historical accuracies, medical knowledge, etc.

i've always appreciated the bits of genuine language used in the show. It
was nice to have not been dumbed down to all English all the time.

This would be a great opportunity for someone to write an "everything i
needed to know i learned from..."

I picture Nick being stuck with Schanke instead, then Janette shows up in
the middle of the whole caper.

I like it myself. Nick and the sone bond together that's cool also. Good
work, can't wait for the story.

Schanke: Celery is for dipping. That's what the scoop part is for.

Natalie: walking into someone's place, even a close friend's, unannounced is
proabably a bad thing.
