The original movie may have been called 'Nick Knight' in the US and Canada,
but it was definitely called 'Midnight Cop' in the UK. I know - I have an
ex-rental copy my best friend passed on to me once she acquired the DVD
version.

The UK version gives Michael Nader's name first across the top, then Rick
Springfield...! Cover illo is as previously described. And above the movie
title it reads

"Four dead bodies A city in terror
Only one man has the power to stop the killing"

It was released by New World Video, and if anyone is desperate to track a
copy down, the reference number is HFV 2031 and it carries a 15 certificate.
(And just to show how cheap the video company's production values are, the
tape is clearly embossed as 'BASF', one of the UK's leading video tape
brands! Which to me at least makes it appear as if New World Video was
operating out of someone's back bedroom.... <VECG>)

Subject: Hello again!

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to say hello again after not writing anything here for
over a year.

In truth, my absence wasn't so much about wanting to "go away", but
rather embarrassingly, because, ever since last summer, I haven't been
able to send e-mail using this address. Previously, I had been able to
send mail from this address (the ISP for this address is based in
Toronto), even while logged in to a different ISP. At some point,
though, ISPs started to realise the potential for spammers to send mail
with forged headers, so they closed that particular loophole. I only
recently found a workaround, so I'm back! (I know, I was too lazy to
get another ISP, I know.)

Even during the summer of 2002, I had e-mail going back to the fall of
2001, so I'll start getting on it. So, no, I haven't been ignoring
anyone (okay, just one person; I'll explain later), but I realise that
it's crazy to let mail wait for TWO YEARS. The people who used to make
fun of "The Speed of Will" will likely have a field day. I'll do my
best

Cousin Will

P.S. : As for the person whom I have been ignoring: In the vain hope
that she might just want to contact me and straighten things out, I'll
give some non-public details in the hope that she'll recognise
herself... She was someone whom I contacted in the summer of 2000
because of her involvement, in an as-yet unidentified capacity, with an
embarrassing fan-related incident that occurred earlier that summer. As
part of her involvement (or not, since I didn't know the full extent of
her involvement or non-involvement), she had asked me for a tour, but
after I arrived in Toronto and attempted to reach her, she was nowhere
to be found. Obviously, I was upset with her, because generally if I
can't make it for a tour, I do try to tell someone, and I expect the
same from my would-be guests. In this particular case, I had reason to
believe that she was being used, either knowingly or unknowingly, as a
"patsy", and I thought that she might be able to help answer some
unresolved questions. Despite my being upset with her, my note to her
was very respectful, and did not mention my concerns about her possible
involvement in the incident (i.e., I only asked her, in essence, "What
happened? Where were you?"). Nevertheless, the letter was neither
responded to, nor even acknowledged. This same person then asked me for
a tour two summers later, which frankly I considered rather galling,
considering the non-response to my previous inquiry about her
unexplained absence from the summer 2000 tour. Usually, I am very
cheerful to receive tour requests, and when I receive such requests, I
do try to answer them in a timely fashion. In this particular case, I
felt compelled to ignore it. Since there is only once person who has
ever asked for a tour, to whom I did not reply, I believe that she knows
exactly who she is. As such, I would very much like to hear from her.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I know we have to wait but there is
pleasure to be had in the anticipating at least that's what I try to tell
myself.

You know you've been reading/watching too much Forever Knight when you
see a headline that reads Man Rises From the 'Dead' and you can't help
but think of Nick. Incidentally, this story is in the offbeat section
on CNN.com.

ha Ha. Actually You are more on the mark than you realize. Last
Christmas I got my first CD player. This summer in anticipation of the FK
DVD's I went out and purchased a DVD player which I am in the process of
learning. how to operate. And now I have ordered on line! Not bad for
someone who two years ago nearly fell off her chair when she went on line
for the first time and her computer played music at her.

>Don't worry, Amazon is VERY secure-- I've been ordering from them for years.

That's nice to know. Other than that it was amazingly simple to do. Of
course now having done it, the temptation is to do it again. There are
those FK CD's sitting there just begging for me to order them. However they
will have to wait since I think I've spent enough money lately and I have a
tooth which I suspect needs a root canal. It was threatened once before
and I ducked the bullet. But now it's reached the point where I can no
longer pretend I don't know it's there. Sigh. All I can do is hope it
behaves until the end of September, when I see the dentist.

Does anyone know where is that amazingly difficult Lacroix-centric FK trivia
site? I have two pages of bookmarks, yet that's not one of them. I need to
look up his progeny and I'm driving myself to distraction with this. Many
thanks.

Hi everyone! I'm sort of new here....although I received the FK list
several years ago. I just want to say how happy I was to see you're still
here. And even better to hear about the DVDs!
Now if I can get back to work so I can afford a set! (Another interview
Monday so my fingers are crossed)
Anyway, I just wanted to tell everyone that it's great to hear from other FK
fans again.

Hi there and welcome back.
As you see, we FK'ers are a hardy group. It's hard to put us down. We'll
always be here since Forever Knight is Forever.

Subject: FK DVD at Wal-Mart?

I got an email from WalMart.com about their upcoming
DVD releases and the FK season one DVD set was not
among their October releases.

I remember reading that one list member had asked about
the DVD at WalMart and was told they would check into it.
Has there been any response yet?

For that price I expect Hugh Jackman in my living room, reenacting my

So, I did it again. But I promise this is the last
time.

I've moved my fan fiction page to its own domain,
which means that it is now add-free and hopefully more
stable. It is still only an archive for my stories so
no fancy graphics and such. There are better than me
to do that. And if the page looks funny, download the
fonts on the site.
Please update your links and bookmarks.
