The home page says that it was updated in November. I don't know when
that page was edited, but it hasn't been changed for awhile. I
downloaded the site on May 3, 2003. So it is up to date at least
until then no matter what the home page says. That is the correct
address. I know I update my sites sometimes and do not change the date
on the home page that says when it was updated last.

Subject: Links page updated

Coming out of lurkdom again to let folks know:

I've been on the fringes of the fandom for about three years now, but I
recently updated my main FK page, and now I've updated my FK Links page. I
was able to update a few URLs, but I also had to delete many links which no
longer worked. More's the pity. <sigh>

So, if you have a new (in the last three years or so) FK page, or your URL
has changed in the past three or four years, feel free to send me an update
off-list at: nat1228@a........

I list pages of general interest, fan fiction pages, FK art pages, anything
you've got. The URL for my Links page is:
http://www.squidge.org/~nat1228/links.htm

Thank you very much.

Nancy

Blu Mankuma will be in a new show: Dead Like Me, on Showcase.

Sounds odd but really interesting.

Not to mention working out the best dates, getting plot proposals and
selecting a WarMistress/Master, coordinating with the factions... There's a
lot of work McLisa and Don have to put in for a War to be started!

You Know You've Become Obsessed With Forever Knight When...

--The timer in your dining room turns on the light at 12:26 and
you wish it went on two minutes later so it would be FK
significant.
--Almost every time you eat a peach you find yourself thinking
about LaCroix and his line in Last Knight.
--You eat peaches every day so you can think about LaCroix a
little more. (And no, I'm not a Cousin)
--On the first day of the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, you once
again notice that the Haftorah (additional reading) is on page
1228 of your book, and have to bite your lips to keep from
laughing and are unable to concentrate on the reading. (Of
course, when *that* happened, I hadn't slept in nearly 24 hours.)
--You get upset when you discover that the "Donut Diner" cups
that reminded you of Schanke have been replaced by cups that say
"Bagel Street Cafe" on them.
--You pass a store called "Loftworks", stop and stare at it, and
later feel you have to go inside, just because that's the name of
the site that hosts The First Unoffcial Forever Knight Website.
--You come accross the date 12/28 while reading something to your
boss, and it's all you can do to keep reading. And, of course I
had to say it like that, 12/28, not Decmber 28.
--Whenever you see 12:28 on a clock you stare at it until the
number changes.

Subject: reintroductions

I know the thread has kind of fizzled, but my intro at the
begining was probably the skimpiest, and once I decided to do it
over again it took me a while to decide what to say.

As I said, I'm 24, turning 25 in October. I'm an Economics major
in Queens College, begining what I hope will be my last semester,
and I live with my parents and older brother in the outer
boroughs of _______.

I was introduced to Forever Knight midway through the second
season by said older brother, who has since left the fandom.

I discovered the online community in either 1999 or early 2000,
starting with the fanfic sites, and finally joined the lists in
the summer of 2001, quickly becoming what I believe is called a
wallflower: someone who posts, but rarely receives replies. For
example, I've posted two fiction challenges so far that got one
response each. This has been changing slowly, however.

I am also the author of the work-in-progress Out of the
Broomcloset, and would like to take this opportunity to say to
those people who were wondering, yes, I'm working on it, but I'm
probably not going to post anything else until it's done.

Subject: Admn: ATTENTION, AOL-USERS

Guys, please don't use AOL's software to block fellow subscribers to Fkfic-l
and/or Forkni-l. When you do, it bounces what would have been your copy of the
message back to me. When Don's on tech duty, it bounces back to him. That makes
extra work and takes extra space in our mailboxes.

I know most of you probably didn't know that. But that's what happens. So
please, as a personal favor to a couple of overburdened and underboxed
listowners, don't use the AOL software to block fellows subscribers.

Don recently discovered that some AOL subscribers have accidently blocked people
when they were simply trying to delete the post. Please check and make sure you
don't have anyone blocked by mistake.

Please don't make it necessary to have a rule on this. Neither Don nor I wants
to do that. If we must, it will only be because the problem continues in spite
of remonstrances.
