Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I created my very
first webpage which will become the home of my FK fan
fiction.

If you want to pay it a visit, I'd be delighted. Don't
expect elaborate graphics, I am a bloody beginner <G>.

some of the story links don't work yet, but will soon.

Yahoogroups is probably up to its old tricks again. Wait a while
(sometimes it takes a couple days) and then try again. Or I can mail it
to you, if you wish.

Oooo, another _______ fan. I'm 19, born and raised in _______(somebody get me
out of here!) No pets (I hope to change that soon) but I have two younger
brothers who I've been told I can treat like pets. I attend the university of
_______, currently in the general studies program where I am taking a wack of
political science courses. After this year I'm going to do technical theatre
which is my real passion in life.

I volounteer with a comunity theatre group and I play DnD. Right now I think
I'm in 6 different campaigns.

My introduction to FK was by way of a friend who is no longer on the list. She
forced me to watch two episodes and Rick Springfields movie. I watched, I
loved, I never looked back. The third episode I watched was Last Knight. Whoa,
stop right there!

I watched LK three times, got on the internet, joined this list, and spent
several hours trying to figger out what the heck had happened. I'm still not
sure.

So four episodes and the pilot movie. That's all I've seen. Can you all tell
that I REALLY want FK on DVD.

Let's see... I joined the list in late 95 after I got my first computer.
Way back when I used to be on IRC till the wee hours :) I found FK midway
through 2nd season at 2am one morning when I was home with pneumonia --
every cloud has a silver lining and all that!

I started wrting fanfic -- http://www.ondragonswing.com/tales/ -- soon
after, and am still at it. Though I don't write nearly as much as I used
to, I'm afraid. I first met FK fans in RL at Syndicon West in 1996, went to
BtK, an FK related SciFi cruise in 97, and have made two LCA's so far.

I'm going to be 40 in less than a month, live in CA, have many cats, a dog,
and a couple of parrots, in addition to several human types in the house.
:) I'm a general SF fan, and have been most of my life. I spend a lot of
time these days writing for my blog, traveling, and am currently obsessed
with Stargate SG1. But FK will always hold a special place in my heart.

This trip down memory lane has been fun!

I got this from a friend on another list, and I thought it related so well
to Forever Knight.

An Indian Proverb

An elderly Cherokee Native American was teaching his
grandchildren about life.

He said to them, "A fight is going on inside me, it is
a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One
wolf is evil --- he is fear, anger, envy, sorrow,
regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt,
resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride,
competition, superiority, and ego.

The other is good --- he is joy, peace, love, hope,
sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence,
friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion
and faith.

This same fight is going on inside you, and inside
every other person, too."

They thought about it for a minute and then one child
asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Subject: Recent Vampire special

I just got a copy of the one on Women's Entertainment called Night Bites -
Women and their vampires. From just the first few minutes I could tell there
would be no FK on it. I can't remember all the reasons but here are the ones I
do remember.... Nick's blonde, not dark haired, Nick's not threatening, unless
mad, the relationship between Nick and Nat is totally different from other
vampire/mortal ones, Nick and Nat aren't your typical vampire and mortal. She's
not totally sucked into his world, dreamily drooling over him, wanting him to
kill her and take her blood. Yes, she'd like it, but there's more than just that
one part.

The only descriptive part they had right was the light eyes. Nick does have
blue eyes. Don't know what color any of the other vampries eyes were. I think
he was the only blonde/blue eyed one on the show, outside of maybe Urs.

When they were talking a handsome vampire being dark haired, and other things,
I'm thinking, not mine. And thinking about Nick. I don't think Bela Lugosi
is sexy at all! They did show a few Angel shots. One Spike shot. Some Interview
with a Vampire shots and this is all in the first few minutes.

And the theme of FK is very different from the movies or from Buffy, or even
Angel. FK was set more in the normal reality than either Buffy or Angel, or
any movie.

I'll probably have more comments after I watch the whole thing. Only watched
it long enough to get the title so I could label my tape.

Subject: Re: FK treatment on German TV?

It was first on a local Munich channel, so about 500
people got to see it <g>

I discovered it on a private channel called RTL2. It
was on at about 3am. This channel had the rather
annoying habit of changing times without notice. So I
only got half of each ep on tape. Then they mixed
seasons one and two, so one ep you saw Stonetree, next
it was Cohen etc. So I didn't get into the story. They
never broadcast season three. (I found Ger
cute from the start though).

I finally got Pay TV last year and they had all eps,
all three seasons, and I got hooked. They did instant
rebroadcasting and it was on simultaneously on another
channel, so I managed to tape up to QoH. Then the firm
which had broadcast rights went bankrupt and it
stopped. Arghh
The other channel cancelled it in the middle of season
two for a corny talk show called Nighthawk (no it is
not what you might think, it is stupid) and Wrestling.

So it seems TV executives are all alike over the
world.

Hope I didn't babble too much

Doris

Actually, LaCroix and Janette were both blue-eyed. I know Deb Duchene tended to
look dark-eyed, but having met her in person I can testify that she does have
blue eyes. I think Urs was blue-eyed but am not absolutely sure.
