I'm not sure what the US newspapers have been saying, but believe me, it's not
nearly as bad as it's painted. If it wasn't for the constant hysterical
headlines, no one going about their business in the City of the Knight would
ever notice that anything is any different. This past weekend the major event
in town was Doors Open Toronto in which many ordinarily inaccessible buildings,
including several FK film sites, were open to the public. Most places,
especially the Distillery district (where 1966 and Killer Instinct were
filmed), now a thriving arts community, were packed with people.

It's only at the hospitals where you notice anything unusual. Nurses and
interns are gowned and masked and people who have business in the hospital are
stopped at the entrance and given colour-coded passes.

As an Albertan ("If it ain't Alberta, it ain't beef"), I appreciate your
kind thoughts. I fear that BSE will soon turn into a continent-wide
issue: www.prwatch.org/books/madcow.html
Note that the entire book, Mad Cow USA, is available as a .pdf download
for free.

Francesca was older than Nick or so she/he claimed in her/his flashbacks.
it is unclear if she was older than Janette. I always assumed she was
but with no foundation other than the thought that LaCroix kept Janette
with him where he didn't keep Francesca.

Of course it maybe it takes nearly a thousand years of experience to figure
out what exactly you want in a child/ companion.

LaCroix brought Janette over about 2 centuries before he brought Nick
across.

Hello everyone -

and a extra HI! to the wonderful ladies I met in Chicago @ DNGG -
I never anticipated having that much fun after the show!

Anyway, to the point:

Will anyone who has addresses to the FK Fanfic Archive sites please send them to

archives for anyone looking. You can email me off-list @

Thanks in advance for your help!
