Perhaps I'm mistaken but it seems to me that there was
an interview with Ger in which he stated that they
occasionally added that twist in their performances.
Not that it was obvious but they played it as if they
had been or were still lovers. Please correct me if I
misremember, but I'm fairly sure it was said.

 Hi all.

Delurking briefly to tell you what I saw the other day & hope it gives you a
big smile like it did me.

I am an avid reader, reading probably 150 - 200 books a yr. I found myself
on my lunch break at work having finished one book on my way to work (I read
on the bus) & without a new one to start, so I had to go pick up another. I
figured I was a bit of a true crime mood, and was checking that section.

The book I decided on is one that looks at how forensic science works. But
it was glancing at the index to the chapters that confirmed my choice of
books.

Chapter 10 is titled "EVIDENCE FROM THE CORONER" with the two subheadings
within it being "Blood Suckers loose in Newport Beach" & "How do you stomach
this job?"

Ok, granted it's not in Toronto.... But it still made me think about FK &
Natalie, with the 2nd subheading bringing to mind the scene from a 3rd
season ep where Tracy is helping Nat with an autopsy & needing oxygen (I
have no memory for ep titles, sorry)

But that chapter title & it's subheadings brightened my day, so I hope it
does for you too. :)

Hugs, and crawling back into lurkerdom....

Who was it who wanted the list of lightbulb jokes?
Mail me offlist and let me know and I'll get it out to
you.

Also, who came up with the line about 'do not meddle
in the affairs of vampires for you are O positive and
fit nicely in Nick's trunk?' I'd like to ask if it's
okay to use it as a sig line. I'd have asked offlist,
but I don't recall who posted it.

Hasta la bye bye

I am in possession of Vachon's heraldry. His family coat of arms is "sable
with a gold cow passant" -- passant is a term meaning an animal walking and
looking to the right hand side of the shield (the viewer's left), with three
hooves on the ground and the right foreleg raised. The heraldic colour
(sable/black) denotes constancy. The metal (gold) denotes generosity and
elevation of mind. The crest is three ostrich plumes proper.

Ah, the fond memories this brings! Sweet summer days, spent in youthful
exuberance ... a once-ardent Vaquera, a bright-shiny Knightie, a Raven, a
Cousin, and a Merc all converging on Disneyland.... We had a time! My most
vivid memory is riding King Arthur's Carousel: I rode the fastest horse and
named him Pepito; the Knightie rode the white stallion and called him Hero;
and the Merc rode the inside and called her mount ... Charger! Ah, good times!

Yes, Dianne, you're right. I know Nigel added stuff, and wanted to go
further than he did. For instance, there's one scene when he wanted to
lick "blood" off Ger's face, but was told not to. Instead, he swiped
it off with a finger and then licked his finger. Very suggestive.

<g> Now there's an ear worm to stick in my brain! Thanks, Laurie!

And this brings to mind the early fanfic story that has Janette
leaving Nick's loft near dawn, intending to fly to get home, and then
regret that she hadn't filed a flight plan and so would have to drive
instead. She tells Natalie that there are now so many vampires in
Toronto they need to file flight plans ahead of time so there's no
aerial congestion. (It's April Fool's day, and she's yanking Nat's
chain.) Great story!

Am I right in remembering that the scene where Nick 'steals' LC's meal was
altered to remove such implications? I'm thinking of the whole honey & wine
business and that LC was originally supposed to lick some stray blood off
Nick's face. Or perhaps this was a comment by NBennett on what he would
have done?

BTW, was this scene above with GWD & Constantine an actual outtake? I just
want to be sure this wasn't something I've forgotten, or part of some fun fic.

Oh, yeah. The Voice. I have a CD of all of Lacroix's best speeches
(thanks, Vic Rosetti!) and listen to them at work just for The Voice.

Yeah, Nigel said he wanted to lick Ger's face in that scene.

I think one of the things that makes for a good TV show is not presenting the
main relationships in an obvious fashion.

There wasn't all that much "obvious" romance between Nick and Nat. Does that
mean the NNPackers are imagining things? No.

Yet what we saw on screen between Nat and LaCroix showed interesting tension,
grudging respect, and moments of "sparkage," too.

So to deny any interpretation of who-meant-what-to-whom in FK is unfairly
narrowing possibilities that the producers left open, and played around with.
(They were wise enough to leave room for Libs and her magisterial
interpretation of the central relationship in FK, by which I mean of course,
the undying love of Screed for his Natsie.)

Best,
Julia

its like his life is crap, and he doesn't know how to go on, but he's still

When I first started watching and missed some of this ep, I thought they
might have known each other before. I thought maybe they were pretending to
not know each other, like they were joking around or something. Otherwise,
that scene seemed awfully "off," and too quickly intimate. Later, I tried
to justify that perception when I saw the episode in full, but it didn't
wash.
