SPOILERS AHEAD Last Knight

(just in case)

If this turns out to be double, I apologize. Sent one and it seems to have gone
to the great black hole.

Hello all,

It is amazing to me that I can find something to wonder about in an episode
that I would just as soon forget actually existed. <g> When Nick is kneeling
beside Natalie and Lacroix is doing his speech, Nick appears to have gone
somewhere else in his thoughts. He doesn't seem to hear anything that Lacroix
has said until he says the part about being the devil. I got to wondering what
he was thinking about then. May be all the people he has killed, or a future
somewhere with Nat, or.....?????. Fan fic anyone? I have not come up with
anything, has anyone done anything before this? Phylis

Well, they have fixed the site again. Someone who didn't know that server
had anonymous FTP access took it off again. I told them to put a note o
the server so they wouldn't do it again.

I just finished re-reading "Shepherds" by Mary Combs. There is a
French Christmas carol entitled "Quittez pasteurs" in the story. Not
being familiar with French Christmas carols, but loving Christmas
music, I was happy to see her translation at the end, regardless of
her sentence in the introduction: 'Unfortunately, the English version
does not begin to reflect the richness of meaning in the original
words, so I will inflict an unpoetic translation upon you at the end
of the story.'
After enjoying her English translation (Mary, it was GOOD), I wanted
to hear the music and found it at:

http://www.csdraveurs.qc.ca/musique/repertoire/noel/quittez_pasteurs.htm

It's really pretty. Just thought I'd pass address along, as we are
approaching the Advent and Christmas season. And the story is well
worth reading.

Emily, thank you, I'm so glad you liked it... and found a link to the music
on the Web! When I wrote it, that was harder to do...

Shepherds is at Mel's site, in the "S" Title section and the "C" Author

Hey, GMTA! I have a start on one I need to get back to
where Nat becomes immortal...I'm considering Tracy,
but not sure yet...and Mac wakes up in Nat's morgue. I
like the idea so much because it would really throw
Nick into turmoil over whether to keep searching for
his mortality or stay immortal so he can be with Nat
forever. LOL can't you just see Nat with a sword
*snicker* Of course if LaCroix intervenes she could
wind up taking his head even though he's a different
kind of immortal...but anyway it should be a good fic.
I'm anxious to read yours when it's done.

LOL Really. (I've seen Whammy on GSN but really liked
old Press Your Luck better BTW)

That onscreen guide is good for quite a few FK
moments, like the program called 'Cousins' that made
me think of a bunch of LaCroix fans sharing stories
and my misreading the name of a movie director, Sydney
Lomar, as Sydney Lambert at first glance. PS I also
saw the Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire and I couldn't
stop thinking of Natalie saying 'been there, done
that, lived to tell about it'...uh, that would have to
have been a pre-LK statement but anyway...
