I found another, and its on a charity auction to boot. There's also
candle-holders, a cross-stitch, and a pillow, peculiarily enough. Here's the
link for the "doll":

And what a wonderful attempt it was Julia - it succeeded in that I could
easily picture the spirit of the attendees, the timeshift feel of sitting on
the wrong side of the room, the dependable front row siters(!), the site of
Nigel sitting on his [Coke] can. Katheryn laboring over her Coke can. The
dogs, the auctioneers, the Sat party and wrap reels.

I wish I could have been there for the pie in the face conclusion - it
sounds like it was fun.

Subject: three Questions

Question #1 Do vampires leave finger prints? In the queen of harps Nick
broke open the safe and stole the harp. Since he was not wearing gloves he
should have left his finger prints all over the door of the safe. I also
have often wondered why no one at the auction told the police that Nick had
been bidding on the harp.

Question #2 In close Call What was written on the picture of LaCroix. all
I have ever been able to decipher was Always and maybe everything.

question #3 Has anyone besides me ever seen a similarity between Amateur
Night and many of the third season plots. Particularly the ones where
Tracy w ent off on her own to investigate a la alix Logan and ended up
having to be rescued by Nick.

Hi

Some additional comments to Julia's report.

Jon could not make it since he was busy producing 24 but Nigel did a great
job.

This time was the only time I believe where the charity representatives
really got involved both in the Sat night party and the coke can challenge.

I also think this is the only time where most of the stuff went up for
auction either in the main room or in the silent auction, raffle and door
gifts.

The hotel changed this time out. Some good points for the change but some bad
ones also. The hotel this time was further from the airport, rooms were nicer
but the heating system either fried you or your froze. The Sat night food was
better but I still like the old one better.

A lot of guest did not show up this time. If I had gone to meet the guests I
would have been very upset. I go to meet my friends so it did not upset me in
the least. I look forward to a weekend of catching up with old buddies.

If I recall correctly, we don't *see* Nick steal the harp, so perhaps he
did wear gloves. Of course, once he had it in his apartment, it would
have been big trouble . . . IF it had been seen by a cop. As for the
auction itself, the only person that the police might have spoken with
was the auctioneer--who was killed right after Nick stole the harp.
Schanke knew he was at the auction, but bought his story about following
up on the case of the death of the old lady to whom the harp had
belonged. (The auction was her estate.) So Nick was bidding because it
was the only way to be allowed into the closed auction to see who was
interested in the estate; he had no intention of *buying* anything.

Pass the Oka, please.

Your very humble & most obedient servant,
Ligeia

And she was excellent. She was about 180 degrees different from Urs,
though. Knowing how Judging Amy works, it seems pretty likely she'll show
up again.

Subject: New FK Site: Aching Hunger

Hi everyone,

I created a new fanlisting called "Aching Hunger." It's a
Nick and Lovers fanlisting for all people who enjoy seeing Nick with many
different female companions aka "The Necks of the Week." Check it out by
clicking on my "Blood Line" site in the main indexes or the direct link
below. Also, this site will only look right at 1024x768 screen resolutions
or above.

http://www.honeybat.com/kristin2/Forever_Knight/nicklovesplash.htm

What's a fanlisting? It's just a way to collect fans of the same subject adn
bring them together. For example, on the one above, I will collect all fans
of "Nick and Lovers" and list them on the site. There's also goodies and
buttons you can link back to the site with. If you want to see other FK
fanlists, including my other 3, check out my "Blood Line" site (FK
fanlisting Collective).

Ready to add new members... :)
