Now there's an interesting question.....

A place that's not romantic and a place to relax....Hmmm...How about
anywhere on the shore of Lake Simcoe? For a short drive from Toronto,
Keswick maybe?

Or, for a slightly longer trip....how about hopping on Highway 10, going ALL
the way to Owen Sound, hopping on Highway 6, going all the way to Tobermory,
THEN taking the Manitoulin Island ferry to a nice cottage somewhere on the
island?

Now THAT would be a real place to get away from it all...

McLisa asked:

My parents live just above Conifer. They got a pre-evacuation notice
last night, and I'm pretty sure they're in the area covered by the most
recent listing of mandatory evacs. :-/ They packed important stuff
(family pictures and my mom's sewing machines *g*) up in their cars last
night, so I expect they'll either email me from work or call me from a
hotel tonight. They got evacuated during one of the fires two years ago
too, so they know the drill these days. Mom said the other day that one
of the fires last week was caused by a three-legged charcoal grill for
which the owner had already been cited (they're illegal in the area).
Apparently he and his buddies left it unattended while they went down
the hill to fish, and over 100 of his neighbors paid with their homes. *sigh*

Chris Kamnikar lives in Arvada, and works in the Jefferson County
government building. Both of those are on the west side of Denver
metro, not where the fire itself is likely to reach, but she says the
smoke is reaching there pretty badly. Scary stuff. I wish I could send
them our rain! Cath Boone is at UC Boulder, and they're probably
getting smoke too, but it's quite a bit north of where the fires are.

All righty now. It is starting to make more sense. My
full name + Nicholas deBrabant now gives 73% while with
Lucien LaCroix gives 65%. But then, my name + Javier
Vachon gives 85% !!! So, I'd be still keeping my
appointment with that psychiatrist just in case.

Non-romantic place, eh?

How about <yawn> Vancouver British Columbia?

Of course Nick wouldn't get much out of it. Most
activities are outdoors and during daylight and the
nightlife is virtually non existent.

But I bet Nat would enjoy Science World.

None of the gents rated highly, LC had the highest at 79%.

I'm in [xxxxxxx]. Unless it takes a really weird turn and heads
east over the mountains, we shouldn't be in the path of the fire, but
already they're starting to evacuate people only about 30 or 40 miles west
up highway 24 from us. It's scary seeing all the smoke some days coming
from the west, and it's so bad you can see it on satellite pictures. I
know the governor has placed a statewide ban on fireworks now, and
they've completely closed Pike National Forest, the first time that
has ever happened. It's too bad that some people insist on lighting
campfires and grills despite there being extreme fire danger and a fire
ban for over a month now, and end up causing these things to happen.

Using my full name:
Nick 63%
LaCroix 91.5%
Natalie 99.9%}proving my suspicions that I am one of those rare
Janette 99.9%}creatures called a Nanette (at least I think that's
what it's called)
Now for some surprises:
Vachon 99.9%
Schanke 81.5%
Tracy 99.9%
Screed 75.5%
Urs 57%

Well, my name does have three V's in it, after all. That's
probably why I have such high results
