As opposed to "Carpe Per Diem," which every writer knows means "Seize the
Check."

And if you're tempted to bid on stuff, I put up an Fk auction warning page
that should give you some idea of what's out there . . and who's valid and
who's trying to rip you off.

I have to agree with Libs. TPTB had been nice to us
lately and have even brought the show back to the
airwaves. If people keep pushing it, they might
eventually get fed up and close down the doors on
everything. Remember, we're still hoping for more FK
merchandize, novels, etc... and the TV movie if possible.
So we must respect their wishes if we want our wishes to
be respected.

Just my thoughts

Probably someone in the early Goth movement (way back when we were called
'Deathers' <g>). I know it's the title of a Goth magazine and also a Goth
website.

Ok, I have to halt you right there. If there is one thing
I don't like about the first season (other than LaCroix
not being in the present day story), it's Natalie's hair.
I thought her hair looked horrible in season 1. It was
way better in seasons 2 & 3 with the groomed curls and
the highlights, but in season 1, it just looked like she
had a bad hair day (night?) in every episode.

One of my favorite funny scenes is the juxtaposition of Schanke's scathing
attack on health food and Denise Fort's extrasensory perception of the
chauffeur's death:

Schanke: Have you ever *tried* tofu?
        Denise Fort: [Gag] Death!

Everything seems to be working now, although tech support's explanations
don't make sense to me.

Subject: Deleted scenes

Since I've been on the list, I've read a lot about the US
version of FK missing some scenes and not being as
complete as the Canadian version. As someone who has only
watched the Canadian version, I have to clarify something
here. The real complete Canadian version is not the one
that was recently shown on Showcase. I watched it and
checked it against the clips on Kristin's site and they
are missing some very important parts.

One of the most obvious ones is the popcorn scene at the
end of FW. I talked to some Canadian fans who had not
seen the show in it's first run and they didn't even know
that scene existed.

Another cut that annoys me a lot (since it is in all of
the copies that I have from the show) is the one at the
end of DKII, when Alyce tells Nick to take her and
LaCroix backs her up. The whole montage of them coaxing
him into biting her and the flashbacks in Nick's mind
have been cut into 5 seconds. It's so infuriating because
without it, Nick's comment to Natalie about Alyce, in the
tag of the episode, doesn't make any sense at all. So I
just wanted to let you know that only the first Canadian
run of the show is complete. We Canadians, who were
late-comers and watched the reruns on Showcase, did miss
some of the good parts too.

Sent with Lisa's permission.
A shortcut has been created for those who have difficulty remembering the
addy for Don's page of list instructions.
You can now view the page by going to

                      www.forkni-l.com

Any problems, don't worry, the Don's page is still in the same place and can
be reached at its old addy - this is in Addition to that address and will
hopefully be easier to remember.

Good Luck

He also calls him Nick in "Dark Knight" part 2. "Steel spikes can't kill a

Hey, anyone out there willing to help a deprived Seattlite to get the
canadian versions? I'd be willing to either buy them, if they're out legally
somewhere, or supply someone with blank tapes and postage.

Let me know, and thanks!

At the risk of sounding like a computer illiterate, WHAT is an FTP site?
and for that matter, what does IIRC mean? I see it in a lot of posts and
have never been able to figure it out.

I just wasted another recorded disc today, due to the same problem, lines
showing up during the episode in the same spot: 34 min. I noticed this
happen in the following episodes:

Fever, Dying to Know You, and False Witness. I missed Dance by the Light of
the Moon, so I don't know if that one had them or not. What is so strange is
that it is always located exactly 34 minutes through the episode and lasts
for a good 5 min... stopping at 40 min. This is with commercials. Now, I
really need to know if you guys are seeing these or if it is my satellite
dish. I have not seen this happen to any other show, so I am thinking it is
Sci-fi, but I need to know for sure.

Please let me know if this has happened with anyone else...
