One of mylocal public broadcasting stations ran a polka marathon as a fun

credit cards contributing!

I'm wondering if Schanke spent some time of his childhood in Cleveland, OH.
When I was a child, you could watch polka programs on TV and listen to
a lot of the music on college stations on the weekends and a couple of
commercial stations during the week (until they decided to make more
money playing urban contemporary and rock). I miss those programs.

Yet another reason to believe that LK was just a bad dream (even though JP may
not have intended it to be). :)

I highly recommend anything by Les GS. Many of his stories are slash and
most of them are for the over 18 crowd, but all are well worth reading if
you enjoy that genre. I especially like his "Michael" series because it
gives a unique view of the characters as they interact with Michael without
ignoring their basic natures.

Les - I really miss your "calendar" posts. Any chance of a special one in
honor of the marathon and FK's return to Sci Fi? :-)

I'd like to add one of my absolute favorites. Dark Revival, by Tab
Carlson.

Let's make a special mention of "Submarine Races," which, besides "Honey and
Wine" is, in my opinion, the ultimate UF story. It's a masterpiece, Les!

The calendars were wonderful. I could see them in my mind, they were so
perfectly described.

I think my all-round favourite has to be S. Clark. "Aftermath", the "Dr.
Dora" stories, so many funny ones, and just about every "Adult" story they
wrote! =) I liked that S. Clark wrote so many short stories - not that I
don't like long novellas, but the little perfect stories were just right to
print and put in letters to friends who didn't have email.

And who wrote that delicious one with Nick and Lacroix in the CERK radio
booth? The one where Nick left the mic on while they were doing ... er ...
UF-ish things? My oh my... >:)= -Amy

It's Station Break by fenris. The sequel is Light Reading. Both are amazingly
funny IMO too.

This causes me a lot of laughs, too, especially when he's doing well
and keeps getting mentioned in the news.

I recently stumbled across V4S story, "By the Book",
and rather than just start reading it, I decided that
it has been a rather long time since I read any V4S
stories. So, I started reading them all again from
the beginning. I'm currently up to Episode #9 and
look forward to reaching Episode #19 soon.
