Subject: FK ALUMNI- VCR Alert for February
Sorry this is late, I sent it earlier, but just realized I'd sent it to
the listserver, not the list.... oh well.
Boy, this is one of the shortest lists I've put out in quite a while,
guess that leaves us more time to watch the Olympics. It's been
a hectic month, so I'm sure I've missed something, I'll keep
checking & post again if I find more.
As always, please check your local listings for exact dates & times,
I have been known to make typos (and so have the sources I've pulled
from). If you want to know more about a movie, and who else is in it,
go to IMDB.COM.
Thanks this month to Satellite Direct Guide, TV-Now.com, and
BlackHatStation.com,

Ever since i joined the list and posted that first message, this has been
the only message i have gotten, b/c they were going into my junk mail box
which is immediately deleted and i just realized it, so now i'm getting
them. So if anyone replied to my message but sent it to the list, please
send it to me privately b/c like i wouldn't have gotten it the first time.
Sorry for the off-topic post but i'd hate to think someone sent me a message
to the list and i didn't get it. Thanks and now i'm returning to lurk mode
hehe.

And another addition that I don't think was on the list...new eps of Lexx are
back on the Sci Fi Channel, which of course star FK alums Nigel Bennett and
Michael McManus. Lexx airs on Friday nights at 10 p.m. Eastern and again at
1:00 a.m. Eastern (technically Saturday morning) and then rerun early early
Monday mornings at 2:00 a.m. Eastern.

FORKNI-L RULES
1. No flames on list. FLAMERS MAY BE SET NOPOST. THE NOPOST MAY BE PERMANENT.
2. Please don't quote more than four lines of a previous post in
replying. If you have more than one point to answer, then you may
quote the relevant four lines for that point also.
3. Limit sigs to 6 lines. This includes all information, decoration
quotations and blank lines. Your name and address count as part of
the six. If you sign your name on a separate line above the body of
text, your name and the blank line or lines between count as part of
the six line limit. If you have one of those services that insists on
putting an advertising tag on the end of posts, don't worry. We
realize you can't control that and it doesn't count as part of your
sig.
4. Please don't send to the whole list when you are only talking to
the person who wrote the post you are answering.
5. Advertising on list is on a case by case basis. Please consult the
listowners, Lisa McDavid, <mclisa@m.......> or Don Fasig,
<Argent@e.......f> or permission.
6. This list is for the discussion of Forever Knight. Cast, crew,
staff and producers in connection with what they're doing now or have
done in the past are ok. So are list members' FK- fannish activities
and arrangements to meet. Cons should only be announced on Forkni-l
if someone from the show is appearing, or if you're going to be
there. Non-FK vampires, or vampires in general, are _NOT_ ok.
Vampyres@t....... does that. McLisa can tell you how to
subscribe. . 7. Off-topic posts are _NOT_ allowed, no matter what
they are about or how urgent the warning may appear. If you have an
off-topic post which you think should appear on the list, ask one of
the owners for permission.
8. The private lives of the cast are not a discussion topic.
Occasionally one of the fan club presidents will make an
announcement, but other than that, we leave the cast their privacy.
9. Only fan club presidents or other designated spokespeople may make
announcements of future projects for FK cast, crew and staff, before
said projects have been released or written about in the media.
10. No role-playing on Forkni-l. This includes no character names as
pseudonyms or posing as a character.
11. Each subscriber is limited to five posts per day on Forkni-l.

I'm playing this like a word association game.
LC - Nordic skiing - hunting for targets in the snow would have appeal to
the General.
Nick - Hockey - He is a fan of the Leafs, after all.
Nat - Figure skating - easily the one winter sport with most romantic
appeal.
Tracy - Slalom - similar rush to coffee
Vachon - Curling - it's the kind of thing he and Screed would bet over.

Urs: She'd also love the figure skating since it's really a form of dance,
which set to music on ice.
Schanke: Definitely hockey. After all, Daphne (sp?), the woman from the
eps., Beyond the Law, who was hot for "Donnie" and heard he was such "a big
Ducks fan" would know! :-)
If Schanke attended the Olympics, he would participate in a new event called
the concession stand event, judging all the various foods served,
particularly the souvlaki stands.

FK? Olympics? Hmmmn...
Vachon - definitely has the right spirit to compete in snowboarding
Nick - downhill skiing
LaCroix - biathlon
Nick and LaCroix - two-man luge (at least LC wouldn't be able to actually
hear Nick <giggle>)
Natalie and Tracy - bobsled
Janette and LaCroix - ice dancing
Screed - freestyle skiing (although he might be the most, erm, *interesting*
figure skater)
Of course, Janette and LaCroix would probably be busy behind the scenes
making money operating a French bistro concession...

You Know You've Become Obsessed With Forever Knight When...
(part one
The number 1228 gets you worked up.
Your anthropology professor says that that the initials TV are
universally understood to mean television and you think 'not
necessarily'
You notice an author named Tracy Chevalier on the New York Times
bestseller list and it makes you pause.
You see a rose named 'Honorine de Brabant' in a garden catalog
and it makes you stop short.
You've practicly stopped reading non-Fk fanfiction.
You can't watch Buffy and Angel because the vamps aren't as good.
At least 99% of your email is FK related
Approximately 90% of yor *internet use* is FK related
French Fries (with ketchup, of course) have somehow catapulted to
almost the top of your 'favorite foods' list
A friend goes to Vermont and brings you a mug decorated with
dairy cows, and every time you use it you imagine Nat giving
onelike it to Nick as a gag gift.
You're watching 'Family Feud' and when you hear them ask for
'things you put in the trunk of your car that wouldn't fit in the
glove compartment your automatic answer is 'vampire'.
Every time you watch a show (even if it's not sf) that you really
like you start trying to think of x-overs, because anything
really, *really* good must be FK-related *somehow*
You have at least four versions of this list that you've written
in various notebooks while preparing to post it.
More to come
