Thanks to whoever said they found this at Big Lots. I got my copy today for a
measly $5.99. You should have seen the look on the clerk's face when I told
her I heard on the Internet that they had it.

Now if I can only find the Strider figure at Burger King (I have the other
18)....

(I'm trying this again. Thanks to Don and McL for their patience--and blast
MSN!)

Having happily and gratefully accomplished all of my Christmas/Solstice
shopping in *one* day--in the midst of a snowstorm, yet!--I fell to
pondering what I would give the FK characters...

LaCroix: Since I gave him the computer game Caesar III a year or so ago,
this was a toughie. My baser nature won out, however, and I got him a
lipring, 'cause it looked so sexy on his alter-ego, Prince of Fire.

Nicholas: The DVD of 'Fight Club'. After all, the self-help books
obviously aren't working.

Screed: The complete works of Doestoyevsky and a space heater.

Vachon: Hmmn...what to give a man who apparently wants nothing? A Mach
3 razor, so he can try out a new look?

Janette: Undying adoration. Anything else would simply not be enough.

Natalie: A year's supply of Chinese take-out. I dunno, it just came to
mind.

Schanke: More moose. Mooses? Meece?

Tracy: A blasted blowdryer and some hairspray!

Happy Hannukah, Merry Christmas, Blessed Yule, Merry Solstice, Happy
Ramadan. All that stuff. <g>

BTW, B/F and I opened our presents to each other on St. Nicholas' Day, just
because. :)

That was me, and you are welcome. I'm getting reports from list members
across the US that they've found it at Big Lots. I have to laugh as I'd
considered buying it off ebay and was seeing prices in the $40 range last
time I looked.

I agree with everyone here who said it is too bad it isn't the FK series.
*whimper* But maybe someday soon.

a header for an article about the Roman Emperor

does some very lovely things to you indeed. <g>

yes, I know it was a tunic, not a toga.

The Roman celebration of the Winter solstice, what was it called, how long
did it last, and what, exactly, did it entail? Thanx!

How quickly melt away,
With all the love we shared once,
Forever in a day."
